"Hey! What on earth are you trying to do!"
After taking a punch from October head-on, Ryusei retreated a few steps. However, with the previous beating training from Asagami Fujino, Ryusei's current ability to take a hit was extremely strong. Although October's punch landed on him, Ryusei didn't feel much; he was thick-skinned. After all, compared to Asagami Fujino's attacks, where every strike could be lethal, October's strength was still far behind.
But being constantly suppressed and beaten by October, even if it didn't hurt, being hit so inexplicably made Ryusei completely furious.
"Oh, you're angry."
October looked at Ryusei and smiled, throwing another punch toward him.
"You bastard!"
Ryusei roared and threw a punch back.
"Boom!"
Their fists collided, producing a dull sonic boom.
"Oh, your strength is quite impressive."
A strange light flashed in October's eyes. He had originally thought Ryusei was just thick-skinned and durable since he took so many hits earlier without issue, but now it seemed Ryusei's strength was actually not inferior to his own.
"Again!"
October's interest was piqued. He had originally only come to return a favor to Asagami Fujino, but he hadn't expected this person named Ryusei to be so interesting. Feeling a surge of excitement, October swung his fist once more.
"Bring it on! Who's afraid of who!"
Ryusei was also getting heated. He had been minding his own business when this October person suddenly showed up and started hitting him—who could stand for that!
The two clashed again, the sounds of explosions ringing out one after another as the surrounding dust was kicked up into the air by their battle.
Bun and the others had already hidden behind a distant utility pole, shivering in fear.
"Is that really the Young Master? How did he turn into a superman?"
Bun and the others watched the dust-shrouded area where two blurred figures collided. The terrifying sonic booms ringing out made their hair stand on end. They couldn't help but swallow hard, feeling terrified. They couldn't help but recall the scenes of the Young Master hitting them on the head in the past; if the Young Master had used this kind of strength back then, their heads would have been blown apart by a single punch.
"So strong... a physical constitution of this level is something someone who just activated their Sixth Sense shouldn't possess."
Qi Xiaosai watched the dust-shrouded battlefield with a solemn expression. The strength Ryusei was currently displaying completely exceeded his previous assessment. To be able to engage in melee combat with October, the strongest of the Black Moon Iron Cavalry, and even reach a stalemate—although Ryusei lacked October's technical experience, his powerful constitution was enough to make up for it. This kind of strength was rare among those who hadn't opened their Seventh Sense. Most importantly, Ryusei had only just opened his Sixth Sense not long ago; according to his judgment, it hadn't even been three days.
To reach a level where he could fight October to a standstill in hand-to-hand combat in just three short days was nothing short of a miracle.
Qi Xiaosai suspected that this change in Ryusei was brought about by Asagami Fujino. Asagami Fujino was far too mysterious; she had appeared out of nowhere with no records of her past existence. They had even clearly investigated September Days's true identity—a member of the Black Moon Iron Cavalry who later betrayed them to become the master thief September.
But Asagami Fujino's records were a complete blank. Qi Xiaosai and the people behind him had used a great deal of resources to investigate her but found nothing. The only thing they knew was that Asagami Fujino lived with September, which was why Qi Xiaosai had come personally to investigate and infiltrated September's villa.
This time, he had lured Ryusei to the Persian Gulf not only to investigate September's movements but also to uncover Asagami Fujino's identity.
"There's something wrong with this guy," September said with a frown to Asagami Fujino beside her.
"Oh, you mean Qi Xiaosai?"
"Yeah."
September nodded. This guy didn't seem like an ordinary person.
"Of course, he's from VV Academy," Asagami Fujino said calmly.
"VV Academy?" September's frown deepened. Of course she knew about VV Academy—she knew it very well. She had heard of its existence before she left the Black Moon Iron Cavalry. It was a famous academy specializing in training detectives, founded by the renowned Dr. Amy, and its members possessed strength that was in no way inferior to the Black Moon Iron Cavalry.
"You don't look good when you're frowning." Asagami Fujino smiled and reached out to smooth September's furrowed brow. Such an intimate gesture made September's face flush slightly, but she surprisingly didn't resist, letting Fujino have her way.
"This looks much better." Smiling, she stroked September's long pink hair and then pressed her hand onto September's shoulder. "Don't worry, VV Academy's goals can be said to be aligned with yours."
"You really do know!" September's cheeks puffed out slightly, and Asagami Fujino couldn't help but poke them with her finger.
"I hate you!" September swatted Asagami Fujino's hand away, her blush deepening. Being with this person made September feel like she had changed a lot, though she couldn't say exactly what had changed. She just felt... relaxed? No, no! This person—
Seeing September like this, Asagami Fujino shook her head with a smile and turned her gaze back to October and Ryusei. It was almost over. The current Ryusei was not yet a match for October; although they seemed evenly matched, Ryusei's experience was ultimately too shallow. What October had been through was far more than Ryusei.
