"Black Mist, forward!"
Caleb's head returned to his body. Clearly, not only had the other side failed to react, even Caleb himself had failed to react.
With the Void Empress's strength, killing Caleb was no different from crushing a tiny bug beneath her seat. It did not take much effort at all.
Precisely because of that, Caleb's death had not spread killing intent outward and awakened the Aspects and Darkin.
Kai'Sa, however, was different. This girl, who had coexisted with Void skin before later walking the path of Ascension, felt an intense throb in her heart.
Icathian Rain came very late, but those raindrops, combined with the wild winds over Zaun, rapidly awakened everyone on the battlefield.
Caleb's Black Mist had already lost control, but once the Blade of the Ruined King returned to his hand, it worked together with the gale and the storm to weaken the enemy's home-field advantage by quite a bit.
The Void Empress was deeply confused. Even if this human was very annoying, he had not reached the level of an extremely powerful being.
So killing him was just killing him. By human understanding, beheading him should have been enough.
Yet beside him, that woman had fired so many bullets from Icathian Rain, and they had exploded around her children.
A gale had also risen from the human she had killed. A demigod's power suddenly burst out from a dead body.
It seemed to have been lying dormant all along, hidden within that string of bracelets.
"Governor, you're okay."
Ekko's figure flickered to Caleb's side. His Z-Drive had only given him a little time awake just now, but he had indeed seen the moment Caleb came back to life.
"To be honest, I don't understand what happened either."
Caleb smiled bitterly as he looked at the Void Empress before him, who was suppressing the Aspects all by herself.
"I think I've guessed what happened."
Being dragged back from death was undoubtedly an extremely painful thing.
It was like finally emerging from the water and being able to take great gulps of fresh air.
But then a rope dragged you back into the waves, and underwater, you had to hold your breath again.
Honestly, in all of League of Legends, there were only a few champions who could resurrect people.
After thinking about it, Caleb roughly understood. Zilean.
Still, the Void Empress's strength had truly far exceeded his expectations.
No wonder a nation where the Ascended had gathered, the mighty ancient Shurima, could only seal it away.
In other words, if they could truly turn this plane into one they could use, perhaps those Ascended would not even need to worry about their bodies decaying.
Yet looking at the Empress who had casually taken his head off, and was now dancing gracefully while trapping the Aspects, Caleb finally understood.
Aatrox had been so brave back then, but even he had failed to kill this thing.
Now, even with the Aspects' help, it would probably still be difficult.
Caleb stopped thinking any further. His Falling Star could naturally wound her.
But he no longer had a resurrection trump card. As things stood, he could indeed use the chaotic rune energy in the air.
But after that, he might truly die body and soul.
However, Taric and Janna's group protection had a time limit after all.
Every second, warriors were dying. Mecha Kha'Zix had already vanished without a trace.
Mecha Malphite was still struggling bitterly to hold on.
Inside it, after hearing what enemy Caleb wanted to fight, Jayce's legs had trembled so badly that he had almost been unable to stand.
Even so, he had still followed Viktor and Caleb from the Freljord all the way to the lands of the Void.
Unlike Viktor, who had no attachments, Jayce naturally had many friends in his life.
He even had a mother and a beautiful wife.
But Jayce had still followed him onto the battlefield, operating a Mecha suit and facing the most troublesome Cho'Gath.
Aside from the Void Watchers, this type of creature was the hardest to erase.
And now, they had to add a Void Empress on top of that.
The Empress's dance seemed to be perfectly aligned with the will of the entire plane. The act of dancing itself could cause enormous changes in space.
Although the Void Watchers had been killed, Caleb knew that if these figures from the material realm and the celestial realm died here, the Empress's reproductive ability would definitely fill the gaps they left behind.
Not to mention that the corpses they had killed could all be eaten and digested by the Empress a second time.
If that happened, it would be no different from delivering portals straight to her.
Norra's hand was tightly gripping the Book of Thresholds. If the situation turned bad, the only fate left for this old book would be destruction.
After such long years, the enchantress had come to see things clearly.
Death was nothing all that important.
All things, sooner or later, would reach their end.
However, Norra still firmly believed that it would not be today.
The Book of Thresholds rapidly flipped its pages. From Caleb's attack just now, Norra had seen starlight capable of directly damaging the Void's source.
The Aspects could also use this starlight, but in terms of level, they were completely inferior to Caleb.
That meant that if they could strike the Empress's vital point, severely wounding or even killing her was entirely possible.
It was just that the Empress had looked down on Caleb too much. Before this, she had not seen Caleb's performance on the battlefield.
The Void Watchers had been isolated in groups of two or three. The ones that had finally managed to gather together had been surrounded by Aatrox alone.
And with Yaanogel's violent hit-and-run attacks, the fall of the Void Watchers was only a matter of time.
However, the Void Empress, who had already begun dancing, could not be ignored. After so many years in the Void, Norra could clearly sense that the longer she danced, the more deeply the entire plane became assimilated with her.
That was why the Empress completely ignored the losses of the Void Watchers and higher creatures around her, focusing only on circling and dancing.
Yet against precisely this dance, the Aspects could only stand helpless.
For the entire force, this was undoubtedly a devastating blow.
Until Norra turned to a page that had been hidden within the book for a very long time.
It was a projection from the spirit realm, symbolizing the arrival of the entire spirit realm.
By that logic, the Black Mist spreading from the Blade of the Ruined King in Caleb's hand could be counted as a projection of the death realm.
The astral power summoned by the Aspects could also count as a projection of the celestial realm.
And with the heroes of the material realm, the Ascended, and the Darkin present, while the gale of a demigod's power still raged, plus the projection brought by this page from the spirit realm, the Void realm's home-field advantage had, in some unseen way, already been reduced to almost nothing.
"Create an opening for me!"
Caleb did not say anything more. Under Kai'Sa's cover, he rushed toward that enormous figure dancing madly.
Even if he had died once by her hand, what had to be done still had to be done.
Calibrum, Crescendum, Gravitum, Infernum, and Severum all appeared together. Under the descent of the moon, a shadow behind Aphelios closed its eyes along with him, scattering Moonlight Vigil in a clear radiance.
The blazing Solar Flare followed Comet Spear and Zenith Blade, locking onto the dancing Empress once more.
Taric's Dazzle brought Cosmic Radiance, allowing Caleb to advance even farther, surpassing every Aspect and arriving before the Void Empress.
Meteor and Redemption descended together, restoring his condition to its peak.
Then came another straight blast of dragon breath, so bright that no one present could open their eyes.
After that, there was only silence.
