Chapter 255 - Chapter 255: United Leaders (EC)

"Governor Caleb, your city really is interesting."

For the two Warmothers who had just arrived here, this place was indeed something new.

The Avarosans already had Tryndamere, and now that they had merged with the Winter's Claw, one handled external affairs while the other handled internal matters.

The Second Claw of the Winter's Claw was currently nervously accepting the reality that she had to manage an enormous tribe.

For her, the pressure was far too great.

But both Warmothers had said they would return through the magical Hexgates when the time came, so what else could she say?

She could only do her best to handle it.

Spring had arrived, and all things were returning to life.

After sharing their maps, the tribes now had many more places they could migrate to.

In the current Freljord, even the ursine had stopped actively attacking others.

That was because Volibear had understood part of the truth and was currently deep in thought.

And for a demigod, the time spent in that sort of contemplation was often something humans could not see the end of.

Caleb was not very concerned about that. What he was concerned about was that after these two women entered the room, the temperature had dropped sharply.

If only they were here in summer. How great would that be?

Caleb's thoughts drifted far away for a long while, until he saw Yuumi and Jinx both coming to find him with unhappy little faces.

"Let me introduce them. The two Warmothers of the Freljord, Ashe and Sejuani."

Caleb gave a simple introduction, yet those two still looked furious.

Someone who did not know better might think Caleb owed them a fortune.

Caleb did not argue with them much and simply said to Jinx, "Bring those two Mecha suits over once they're done."

"Fine…"

Jinx rolled her eyes, then turned sickly and limp as she headed for her secret base.

If she had known they were going to be used by strange women, Jinx would rather have rewarded them with a Super Mega Death Rocket.

But since Caleb had already said so, she could only obediently do it.

"After this, I may still need both of your help in southern Shurima."

"Call Olaf over when the time comes too."

Caleb smiled faintly. That reckless idiot might be a little stupid, but without his noise, things actually felt a little lonely.

While Caleb was still thinking, the two women had already started putting on their Mecha suits.

Because the Mecha suits were loose at first, then automatically adjusted into a fitted state, this was also a novel experience for both of them.

"It does seem like my arrows can shoot more accurately now."

For Ashe, the weapon she had studied since childhood still could not perfectly hit every place she wanted it to hit.

But after putting on this helmet, Ashe could lock onto more targets.

On that basis, it meant she no longer had to occasionally rely on quantity to win the way she had before.

She could fully lock onto every target, then send her arrows over.

Sejuani's was even more luxurious. Not only had powered armor been added for her, increasing both Sejuani's striking power and the strength of her True Ice weapon, but even Bristle had received some protection and enhancement.

After all, although Bristle was a descendant of the Iron Boar and could automatically heal some injuries, he was not the Tusk Lord himself, freely rampaging through the mountains and forests.

And the Iron Boar was currently in a spirit state, unable to grant those enhancements to his descendants again.

So for Bristle, those wounds were already impossible to ignore.

He could charge forward without fear, but he was not truly immortal.

Because of that, both Warmothers were very satisfied with this gift.

Seeing the affectionate looks in their eyes, Caleb silently raised his hand.

"Stop."

"I already have Kai'Sa."

Whether it was the first time Kai'Sa had gone to the Freljord with Caleb, or the second time when she had fought the Void beneath the abyss alongside him, her presence had never been low.

But the Warmothers of the Freljord were, after all, top-tier human figures in that entire region.

So these two women still had not given up hope of conquering Caleb.

"We don't mind," they said in perfect unison, clearly having discussed it beforehand.

Caleb simply used Shadow Step and escaped downstairs through a crack in the ground.

Then he disappeared into Zaun's sinkhole district.

The place was a maze. Even if Ashe sent out the drones built into her Mecha suit, there was probably an eighty percent chance she would not find him.

Caleb secretly let out a breath of relief.

After a whole day of being tossed around, he had gone to three places and nearly crossed half the continent.

With the earth as his blanket and the earth as his bed, Caleb simply fell asleep in the pit.

When he woke up, Caleb was still a little dazed, but a wave of coldness instantly snapped him awake.

He quickly looked to both sides. Good. It was not those two Warmothers beside him.

It was Kai'Sa's almost murderous gaze.

"Well…"

Caleb was still thinking about how to explain when Kai'Sa had already taken the initiative and thrown herself into his arms.

Kai'Sa held him very tightly, as if she were afraid of losing Caleb.

"What did Yuumi tell you? Nothing happened to me in Ionia."

Caleb gently stroked Kai'Sa's head and comforted her.

At the doorway, a curious cat face had already exposed Yuumi's desire to watch the show.

Caleb made up his mind. Next time, he would create an ocean out of dried fish.

Then Caleb would use an iron cage and another layer of steel wire mesh to hold Yuumi back, letting her sink down.

He would let this cat properly experience what it meant for something to be right in front of her, yet completely out of reach.

After making up his mind, Caleb asked, "That group of residents, and the two Ascended who rushed over, how are they?"

Kai'Sa then returned to her normal expression, though she did not move at all and answered in a muffled voice.

"Those people were originally sentenced to death by the emperor. Outside the royal city, Azir needed to slaughter them all."

"And then?"

Caleb was not panicked at all. Zilean had definitely seen this situation, and since he had chosen not to avoid it, that basically meant it was not a bad thing.

"A little girl convinced the emperor. They were the remnants Taliyah brought with her."

"The emperor can actually listen. That isn't easy."

"As for Varus and Rhaast, with Lady Xolaani's help, they successfully separated the three original hosts."

"Yuumi already sent them back to Ionia."

Caleb looked at the cat walking over with her head held high and could not help rubbing her.

Yuumi treated Caleb like a cat tree, and Caleb also felt Yuumi was useful.

"That's good."

Caleb had just relaxed slightly when Ekko's sudden arrival made his heart tighten again.

Caleb swore that if Ekko so much as mentioned those two Warmothers again, Caleb would press that watch of his and send him back seven seconds.

"Someone outside wants to see you!"

Ekko, Jinx, and a group of children from the Firelights had all heard Yuumi's first "storytelling" session beneath that great tree.

"There are plenty of people from every nation in the world who want to see me every day."

Of course Caleb knew Ekko was not stupid. He was just still a little young.

"Get to the point."

"He claims he's from Icathia!"
