“I apologize if I’ve displeased you. But Your Grace, I’m only saying this out of concern that the lady would have the bad effect on Childe Louvremont.”
The count continued sounding slightly discouraged. Hades’ head rose once again.
What the heck was he on about now?
At this point, I was starting to wonder just how much more nonsense would come out of the count’s mouth.
“I haven’t seen Childe Louvremont for a long while, and seeing him today, I was surprised and lost for words to see that he has changed beyond what I could imagine.”
I knew it. I was wondering what he would say by bringing Abel up.
I was willing to look the other way since he seemed to only badmouth me, but it seemed that he was actually going to cross the line and talk about Abel.
Abel only said what he had to say without being impolite, but it was obvious that the count would play dirty and rat him out without all the details.
