GEORGIA'S POV
I was back at the banquet table. The Dashtons were there, and Alpha Ryan's family sat across from us, their expressions carved from ice.
In front of me, my plate of steak was a disaster—covered in the contents of my stomach, which had splattered across the linen, the vegetables, and even into Rheia's drink. The silence was thick with pure, unadulterated loathing.
"I went to the hospital and found out the truth. You're pregnant," Rheia said, her voice dripping with contempt. I looked around desperately for Nikolaj, but his chair was empty.
Michaela shoved a handful of tissues toward me. "Clean yourself up. You're making me sick," she sneered. I took them with trembling hands, wiping the bile from my lips and the trail of it running down my chin.
"You're expecting," Lady Maddison said, her brow furrowed in a permanent mask of disapproval. "Jaime told us he was always meticulous about protection. So, where did this come from? Who is the father?"
