GEORGIA'S POV
"That isn't how it happened at all," I hissed, appalled by her version of events. "I didn't leave Jaime because of Nikolaj. I was already done. Why are you twisting this into something so scandalous?"
Rheia just made a face. "So you say. Then why did you end it? Did you just wake up one morning and decide you were bored of him?" I sighed, unable to give her the real reason. I knew she looked up to Katsha, and telling an eight-year-old that her role model was sleeping with her cousin was a bridge too far.
"I can't tell you why," I said firmly.
"Well, I can take a guess," Rheia replied, delicately smoothing her hair. "But if you interfere with my matchmaking, my version is the one everyone hears: Georgia slept with Nikolaj, fell in love, and dumped Jaime for him." With a triumphant smile, she hopped off my bed and sauntered out, slamming the door behind her.
Of all the Dashtons, she was easily the most dangerous. Her mind was a tactical minefield.
