Having witnessed the entire battle, Kairo couldn't help giving Kizaru a thumbs-up when he saw that Kaido had finally been unable to withstand the combined firepower of Garp, the three Admirals, and Fleet Admiral Sengoku and had collapsed.
That guy was a classic slacker in the original story. Every time he appeared, he was practically slacking off, yet he was always showing off his strength! Because of that, people often joked that he was the "Admiral of Water."
Of course, there were also some jokers who liked to say that Kizaru was holding back because his salary wasn't high enough. If the pay were good enough, he'd beat all four Emperors into the ground!
Yet during his battle with Kaido just now, the guy hadn't slacked off at all. He had fought all the way until Kaido fell before finally calling it a day and drifting down beside Sengoku!
Of course, there was no need to mention Akainu, the ultimate workaholic. As a man who upheld Absolute Justice, there was no way he would allow Kaido to run wild in Marinford. Without a doubt, he had given it his all.
Aokiji might have shown some restraint, but it wasn't a big deal. He had still done his best!
"Mr. Kairo!"
Standing beside Kairo, Tashigi tilted her head and blinked her big eyes at him after seeing Kaido collapse once again.
"This battle should finally be over, right?"
"It's over."
Kairo smiled.
"But the Marines are going to have a headache now!"
"Little Kiki, you grew up in Marine Headquarters, right? You shouldn't be unfamiliar with this big, reckless bastard!"
"If I remember correctly, the Marines have captured this big guy before. They've even subjected him to all kinds of executions, but none of them managed to kill him!"
"But what I'm curious about isn't how he can't be killed."
"It's how he escaped after being captured by the Marines several times before."
"I don't know that either!"
Tashigi blinked and shook her head.
"This is actually the first time I've seen this big guy here."
Hearing this, Kairo blinked as well.
Then he simply stood up.
"Come on. Let's go take a look!"
"C-Can we?"
Tashigi was a little nervous.
Although Kaido had already fallen, what she had just witnessed had still left a huge impression on her.
In her memory, Marine Headquarters had always been an inviolable place. Not only did it possess the Marines' greatest combat powers, such as the Admirals, but it was also guarded by countless powerful Vice Admirals like her aunt, as well as more than a hundred thousand Marine soldiers.
And yet this heavily guarded heart of the world's Marines had actually been invaded by a giant who had fallen straight from the sky.
To Tashigi at her current age, such a thing was simply beyond belief.
Still, she was curious.
She wanted to see what the man who had dared invade Marinford actually looked like!
"Of course!"
Kairo smiled and nodded.
Then he took Tashigi by the hand and walked toward the battlefield, which had long since been reduced to ruins.
"Mr. Kairo!"
The moment Kairo approached the battlefield, Momousagi hurried over to him, her expression solemn.
"This place is very dan—"
"I'm fine!"
Before Momousagi could finish, Kairo shook his head with a smile.
"Little Kiki is curious about the big guy who dared to invade Marinford, so I brought her over to take a look!"
Hearing this, Momousagi didn't say anything else and simply followed Kairo into the battlefield.
Meanwhile.
After confirming that Kaido had been knocked unconscious, Sengoku decisively gave an order.
At his command, several Marine officers who had been waiting nearby immediately rushed over carrying Seastone handcuffs and efficiently locked them around Kaido's wrists.
Then they found several thick iron chains and secured all four of Kaido's limbs!
At first, Kaido remained completely motionless, allowing the Marines to put the Seastone handcuffs and chains on him.
But the moment they locked Seastone shackles around his feet, his body suddenly moved.
The Marine Rear Admiral who had been putting the shackles on Kaido was so frightened by the sudden movement that his face went pale as he hurriedly retreated.
The other Marine officers also became extremely tense. They immediately drew their weapons and stared at Kaido warily!
At the same time, the three Admirals, Sengoku, and Garp surrounding Kaido all frowned.
Just as the atmosphere on the battlefield suddenly became unbearably tense...
Kaido, who had moved only a moment earlier, rolled over—
—and immediately began snoring loudly.
Soon, his exaggerated snores echoed across the battlefield.
Hearing Kaido's thunderous snoring, everyone present, including Sengoku and the Marines, stared wide-eyed in disbelief.
Even Kairo couldn't help twitching the corner of his mouth when he heard those ridiculous snores.
Then he caught a faint trace of alcohol in the air directly in front of Kaido.
"Alright."
Kairo covered his forehead with one hand and spoke helplessly.
"This guy was probably drunk and came to Marine Headquarters to throw a drunken tantrum!"
Sure enough, the moment Kairo finished speaking, Kaido, who had been snoring like thunder only moments earlier, suddenly opened his eyes and stared blankly ahead.
Then he abruptly sat up and swept his gaze across Sengoku, Garp, and the others.
Like a complete idiot, he split his mouth into a huge grin and began laughing.
"Ku-la-la-la! Did I fall into Marine Headquarters?! Garp, Sengoku, long time no see! Hahahaha!"
After his laughter faded, Kaido couldn't help letting out another burp, looking exactly like a drunk who had finally regained consciousness.
Hearing Kaido's words, Sengoku immediately developed a dark line across his forehead.
As the Fleet Admiral of Marine Headquarters and the man known as the Strategist, Sengoku understood exactly what had happened the moment he smelled the alcohol on Kaido's breath.
Drinking and causing trouble was practically an everyday occurrence for Kaido.
And even before Sengoku had become Fleet Admiral, he had encountered Kaido while the latter was drunk and had gone on a rampage challenging Sengoku, Garp, and Zephyr!
Especially the time when Sengoku was an Admiral and Garp was still a Vice Admiral.
After they captured Kaido back then, Kaido had slept so soundly on the execution platform that his thunderous snores echoed throughout the area.
He didn't wake up until he was pushed onto the execution block.
Only then had Kaido finally opened his eyes, looked around in confusion, and asked,
"Why the hell am I here?"
The question had nearly made Sengoku, who was an Admiral at the time, and the Fleet Admiral Kong spit up two pounds of blood!
"Hm?"
After letting out another drunken burp, Kaido suddenly raised both hands.
Looking at the Seastone handcuffs locked around his wrists, he tilted his head slightly and blinked in confusion.
"Looks like you still haven't figured out how to kill me, huh?"
"Hahahaha..."
"In that case, I'm done playing with you!"
Before he could finish speaking, Kaido suddenly clenched both fists.
A nearly tangible energy shockwave erupted from his body.
The next second, the Seastone handcuffs and shackles securing his four limbs, along with the four thick iron chains, all snapped apart one after another with a series of explosive cracks.
