Just as Kairo caught the unconscious Hancock in his arms, two strange sounds suddenly came from behind him.
Immediately afterward, Boa Sandersonia and Boa Marigold—whose attention had been completely absorbed by the battle between Kairo and Hancock—dropped to their knees in perfect unison.
Wearing utterly hopeless expressions, they cried out together,
"We're sorry! We don't deserve to stay by Sister's side! Please let a snake bite us to death!"
Turning around and glancing at the kneeling sisters, Kairo immediately raised a thumbs-up toward Perona, who had somehow appeared nearby.
"Loli, nicely done!"
"Hehe~~~"
Holding her little red umbrella, Perona beamed with delight at the praise.
She floated over and stared unblinkingly at Hancock in Kairo's arms.
"Kairo, what are you planning to do with this woman?"
"Kidnap her, I guess."
Kairo only hesitated for a moment before decisively making his choice.
Then he picked up the unconscious Hancock and dashed back toward the Traveler.
"Huh???"
Watching Kairo carry Hancock away and return to the ship, Perona's eyes widened in surprise.
She was caught completely off guard and forgot to follow him.
Meanwhile—
Because an unknown ship had approached Amazon Lily, nearly all of the island's warriors were rushing toward this section of coastline.
Leading them was a tiny old woman with a face full of wrinkles.
"Elder Nyon!"
A female warrior hurried to her side.
"What's going on here? And how did that ship get through the Calm Belt?"
Glancing at the warrior beside her, Elder Nyon said gravely,
"We've just received a report."
"Lady Snake has been kidnapped!"
Before the warrior could even react, Elder Nyon suddenly leaped onto her back.
"What are you standing around for? Hurry and take me there!"
Soon, Elder Nyon and the others arrived from all directions.
When they saw Stopi and the other guardian warriors unconscious on the ground, along with Sandersonia and Marigold kneeling there with lifeless expressions while continuously begging for death, everyone stared in horror.
Then they collectively looked up toward the Traveler floating offshore.
The moment they raised their heads, they saw Kairo carrying their Empress into the ship's cabin.
"This is bad!"
After confirming that Hancock had truly been taken away, Elder Nyon's eyes widened.
She cried out at the top of her lungs,
"She really got kidnapped!!!"
Back aboard the Traveler, Perona looked toward the ever-growing crowd gathering on the shore.
When she heard Elder Nyon's exaggerated scream, her trademark sinister laughter immediately rang across the Calm Belt.
"Horohorohorohoro!"
"Just stay right where you are!"
"Otherwise, your Lady Snake might end up dead!"
The moment they heard Perona's threat, the female warriors completely panicked.
"Elder Nyon, what do we do?! Will they kill Lady Snake?!"
"Lady Snake has been kidnapped! This is terrible! Absolutely terrible!"
"Quick! Bring the Kuja pirate ships! We'll take Lady Snake back!"
Watching the warriors descend into chaos, Elder Nyon shouted again,
"Don't act recklessly! You'll get Snake Princess killed!"
As soon as she finished speaking, the previously frantic crowd instantly fell silent.
"I'll negotiate with them."
Gradually calming herself, Elder Nyon walked alone to the water's edge.
She stared fixedly at the Traveler and called out loudly,
"Whoever you are, if you release Snake Princess, Amazon Lily will agree to any demand you make!"
"Really?"
Hearing this, Perona blinked her large eyes.
Then she turned and ran into the cabin excitedly.
"Kairo! Kairo! Did you hear that?"
"They said they'll agree to any demand if we release this woman!"
"Huh?"
"Where's Kairo?"
Seeing no sign of him inside the cabin, Perona blinked in confusion.
"Robin-chan, where did Kairo run off to now?"
"H-He's... in his bedroom."
Robin's answer sounded somewhat unnatural.
After all, Kairo had carried Hancock into the cabin and gone straight to his room.
Such unusual behavior left even her puzzled.
"I'll go take a look!"
Without any hesitation, Perona immediately headed for Kairo's room.
Seeing this, Robin hurriedly called out,
"Wait, Perona! Maybe we shouldn't go in right now!"
"Why not?"
Perona looked utterly confused.
Robin's cheeks suddenly reddened.
Although she had never experienced romance herself, she was old enough to understand certain things between men and women.
The image of Kairo carrying Hancock straight into his bedroom...
She could more or less imagine what that might imply.
More importantly, even Robin had been amazed by Hancock's beauty upon seeing her.
As a man, Kairo would naturally be even more...
Robin had to admit it.
The moment she saw Kairo carry Hancock into his room, she felt jealous.
Seeing Robin suddenly fall silent, Perona blinked.
Then she turned and charged straight into Kairo's room.
Robin immediately snapped out of her thoughts and hurried after her.
Unfortunately, she was a step too late.
By the time she caught up, Perona had already pushed open the door and rushed inside.
Unable to stop in time, Robin found herself standing right outside the doorway as well.
Meanwhile—
Inside the bedroom, Kairo had already removed Hancock's upper garment and placed his hand against the slave mark on her back.
The Sacred Healing Art was astonishingly powerful.
The moment he activated it and pressed his palm against the mark, it began disappearing at a visible rate.
Soon, it vanished completely without leaving behind even the slightest trace.
Of course, Sacred Healing Art was only effective against wounds, scars, marks, and similar external injuries.
It couldn't cure illnesses.
Therefore, it didn't overlap with the medical skills Kairo had already mastered.
Just as Kairo completely erased the mark from Hancock's back, Perona burst into the room.
Seeing that he had removed half of Hancock's clothing, Perona froze briefly before widening her eyes.
"Kairo!"
"Why did you take off her clothes?!"
At the doorway, Robin's face instantly turned bright red.
Then she spun around and fled.
Looking at Perona standing before him and Robin running away in embarrassment, Kairo simply shrugged and shook his head helplessly.
This misunderstanding really couldn't have been more perfect.
