"Hah?!!!!!"
"Mr. Arashi wants to stay here?!"
Perona and Robin both stared wide-eyed at Arashi, who was reclining lazily against a rock with one hand propping up his head.
"What's with those reactions?"
Arashi flipped upright and grinned.
"Don't you think Ohara Island has a pleasant climate and beautiful scenery?"
"If we reclaim this place, plant ten or twenty acres of fruits and vegetables…"
"Wouldn't that make it even better?!"
"And then build a house on the ruins of the Tree of Knowledge…"
"Facing the sea, with spring blossoms blooming—perfect!"
Hearing Arashi's words, Perona instantly fell into complete confusion.
Reclaim this island that had once been bombarded by a Buster Call?
Plant vegetables and fruit trees?
And even build a seaside house?
Was Arashi planning to live here long-term?!
Robin was also surprised.
But after hearing Arashi say he wanted to reclaim the island and build a house atop the ruins of the Tree of Knowledge…
She suddenly felt a strange sense of anticipation and longing.
"Alright, stop standing around."
"Go back to the ship and grab the tools."
"We're starting work right now!"
"First, we clean up the Tree of Knowledge ruins!"
The moment he finished speaking, Arashi stood up and headed back toward the Traveler.
Perona and Robin looked at each other blankly.
It took them several seconds before they finally snapped out of it.
"Robin-chan…"
"Is Arashi serious?"
"…Looks like he is."
"…Okay then."
"As long as Arashi likes it!"
"Hehe, let's go!"
The two girls accepted Arashi's slightly insane decision and happily followed after him to gather tools from the ship.
Ten days later.
Through the combined efforts of Arashi and the two girls, the overgrown ruins of the Tree of Knowledge had been completely cleared.
The craters left behind by the Buster Call bombardment had either been transformed into ponds or planted with flowers and greenery by Arashi.
Meanwhile, at the former site of the Tree of Knowledge—
A mushroom house had begun taking shape.
Another ten days passed.
The mushroom house project neared completion.
The surroundings had been completely transformed.
Connected ponds.
Flowing streams.
Small bridges arching gracefully across the water.
The ruins that once suffered total destruction had now become filled with life once more.
Another ten days later.
The mushroom house was finally complete.
And it truly was a mushroom house.
Because the roofs were crafted from several enormous natural mushrooms Arashi had found elsewhere on the island.
Beneath each mushroom roof stood a room.
Six rooms in total.
Three mushroom-roof bedrooms.
One mushroom-roof living room.
One mushroom-roof kitchen.
And one mushroom-roof bathroom.
The project had been huge—
But for Arashi, it hadn't been difficult at all.
The walls were built entirely from wood.
And on Ohara Island, wood was practically endless.
One slash with a blade and the materials were ready—there was no need for complicated woodworking.
The floors were even simpler.
Luxurious all-wood flooring throughout.
After an entire month of work—
The mushroom house was finally perfectly completed.
"Hahaha! Finally done!"
After placing the final mushroom roof over the bathroom, Arashi jumped down to the ground and laughed heartily while clapping his hands.
"Perfect."
"Absolutely perfect!"
"I love it! I love it so much!!!!"
Perona's eyes sparkled wildly at the sight of the carefully crafted mushroom house.
Already fond of eccentric styles, she was practically dancing with excitement.
"Arashi!"
"Let's live here forever!"
"I love this house so much!"
"As long as you like it!"
Arashi rubbed her little head affectionately.
"From now on, this place will be called the Ohara Mushroom House!"
"Go on and choose your bedroom."
"Then head back to the ship and move all the necessities over."
"Okay okay okay!"
Perona nodded frantically before spinning around and running off.
Just imagining living happily in the mushroom house together with Arashi filled her with excitement.
At that moment, she wished she could move every delicious snack, toy, doll, and Gothic Lolita outfit in the world to Ohara.
Robin also never imagined that after more than ten years, this land once devastated by the Buster Call could be revived so miraculously by Arashi's hands.
Looking at the mushroom house Arashi had personally built, she too began looking forward to the days ahead.
So before Arashi could even say anything, she followed Perona to help move their belongings.
After an entire afternoon of work, every daily necessity aboard the Traveler had been moved into the mushroom house.
As for all those tedious chores—
Arashi had zero interest in participating.
Instead, he lounged lazily on a hammock he'd strung beside the mushroom house.
Watching the two girls bustling about inside with cheerful energy, Arashi narrowed his eyes comfortably.
Although completing this mission would take quite a while—
Stopping occasionally to rest wasn't a bad thing either.
Most importantly—
Arashi enjoyed this kind of journey.
Traveling.
Stopping.
Living.
When he first arrived at Ohara and saw the island's desolation, he quickly realized that after the Ohara Incident, nobody had likely set foot here again.
At first, he worried that the Marines or World Government spies might still be monitoring the island.
If that had been the case, reclaiming Ohara would definitely have drawn their attention.
However—
His worries were clearly unnecessary.
After the name "Ohara" vanished from the maps, this island had truly become a forgotten land.
Now that he was here, even if he turned the entire island upside down, no one would discover it anytime soon.
Although Ohara had once suffered indiscriminate naval bombardment, more than ten years of natural recovery had completely restored the soil.
Perfect for farming.
The climate wasn't bad either.
Plenty of rain.
Plenty of sunlight.
Under such conditions, Arashi had no concerns about his reclamation project succeeding.
Next—
He planned to reclaim the land on both sides of the mushroom house.
One side would become orchards.
The other would grow vegetables.
"Hmm?"
Suddenly, Arashi's gaze sharpened slightly as he turned toward the distant sea.
At the same time—
Far away across the ocean, a small boat burst through the Devil Sea and sped directly toward Ohara Island.
"…The hell?"
Seeing the approaching tiny boat, Arashi blinked in surprise.
"This guy is still in West Blue?"
The person slicing through the waves toward Ohara—
Was none other than Dracule Mihawk.
The very same Mihawk whom Arashi had accidentally dragged into a life-altering rabbit hole.
