Chapter 141 - Destroying You Has Nothing to Do With You

She could no longer remember how long it had been since ordinary matters had stirred even the slightest emotional fluctuation within her.

To her, everything in this world was insignificant.

Anything she desired could be obtained as easily as reaching into her pocket.

And because of that, she had gradually sealed away her emotions, becoming indifferent toward all people and things.

Many times, she believed herself to be nothing more than a cold machine devoid of feeling.

Yet after reading Arashi's information, a faint ripple unexpectedly appeared within the lonely, dust-covered depths of her heart.

And at that moment, she realized—

She was not truly emotionless after all.

Just as the woman became slightly absorbed in the documents in her hand, two pirate ships cutting through the waves rapidly approached the sea area where she was located.

"Hm?"

With her powerful Observation Haki, the woman immediately detected the ships.

She slowly raised her head, her brows knitting faintly.

The next second—

Her figure vanished instantly.

When she reappeared, she was already standing upon the deck of one of the pirate ships.

The moment the woman landed—

BOOM!!!

A terrifying impact exploded outward.

Cracks instantly spread beneath her feet like a spiderweb, rapidly extending across the entire pirate ship.

Before the pirates aboard could even react, the ship exploded violently.

A nearly tangible shockwave surged outward like a monstrous tidal wave, sweeping across several hundred meters.

Wherever it passed, the sea burst apart and even the air itself trembled.

"W-what happened?!"

On the other pirate ship, the pirates stared in horror as their companion vessel was annihilated in an instant.

The ship had exploded without warning, turning into countless fragments that scattered across the sky.

Everyone froze in utter shock.

Before they could recover—

The veiled woman descended gracefully from the rain of wreckage and landed steadily upon their deck.

"Y-you… who are you?!"

A middle-aged man who appeared to be the captain was the first to regain his senses.

Trembling uncontrollably, he stared at the woman and stammered:

"W-why are y—"

"Ah—!"

Before he could finish speaking, a terrifying slash swept across the deck.

In an instant, the captain and all the pirates behind him were beheaded.

Blood mist erupted into the air as severed heads flew everywhere, instantly engulfing the entire ship in crimson.

After simply, efficiently, and brutally destroying both pirate ships—and slaughtering every pirate aboard without leaving a single survivor—

The woman did not pause for even a moment.

Her figure flashed once more, returning to the small boat where she elegantly sat down again.

Then she calmly picked up the documents beside her and continued reading.

The entire process had occurred in the blink of an eye.

If not for the wreckage floating upon the sea and the corpses drifting among the waves, no one would have believed a battle had just taken place here.

As for the red-eyed woman—

Her expression remained completely indifferent.

As though:

Destroying you has nothing to do with you.

"Arashi…"

After reading through the documents once more, a trace of anticipation suddenly flickered within her crimson eyes.

"If we truly meet again…"

"Where will it be?"

Port of the Kingdom of Nasia.

Arashi, who had originally planned to set sail today for the next stage of his journey, was currently a little bewildered.
