[NEW ELEMENT UNLOCKED.]↓
Salvation?
[Update Dual-element Status!]
[Yes? No?]
He quickly tapped no, and pressed the drop-down. "I will have to practice my new element here."
He started the integration with his Fire Element.
Red veins crawled up his arms and neck, and beads of sweat dropped down his chest.
He leaned on a tree, and counted till the orcs would reach him. He hoped his body wouldn't limp from pain but the massive mana drain from his core promised otherwise.
It felt like his body was itchy, yet hot inside. Mana drained from his core, channeling itself into his legs.
Would I be able to squeeze any fire out after these?
Whoom!
A huge mace leveled the tree he rested on. He forced himself to stand straight, holding his body by pressing his hand on his knees.
"You said you'd avoid every other fight."
The orcs, about twenty of them, gathered around him. Slamming their skull shield, and banging their weapons on the ground.
"I am done here. These ones came to me."
He counted them out of habit, even if the situation was dire. The sheer number would exhaust anyone.
No matter how stupid orcs were, they still had advantage in numbers.
And my tendrils don't cut through them cleanly.
"Can you handle them in less than two hours?"
[Element: Fire]
[Element Rank: A]
Killian smirked, locking eyes with the nine-foot-tall orc that walked out from the crowd. The orc held two Warhammers that were almost the size of an average human.
Strengthpooled into his legs as he could see the end. "This one will be more than enough."
The other orcs cheered when the tall orc stepped forward.
Is he their leader? Good.
[New Skill Unlocked.]↓
He dodged the hit from the orc leader, maintaining a steady pace down the hill. He checked the drop-down with a thought.
[Element Skill: Ablaze.]
Can I use it without draining much mana?
The orc leader charged at him with heavy steps shaking the ground as both warhammers dragged before rising for a crushing blow.
Killian stopped moving, and watched him closely. He saw the delay, and the orc leader's weight and its size held it back from being fast.
That leveled Killian's chances as he was tired. He stepped aside with ease, avoiding the hit. His brows pulled together.
Is this guy testing me? His swings are too weak.
Heat gathered in his palm. He felt the new sensation of raw mana flowing from his HEART. The feeling made his chest tighten with excitement.
He raised his hand and released it without thinking, a ball of fire forming and shooting forward.
The flames struck the orc leader and forced it to pause. Its body jerked slightly at the impact.
Killian let out a breath, almost a laugh, his eyes fixed on his hand as if he had forgotten everything else around him for that one moment.
He was truly a Dual-Element User, and his HEART flowed mana that could be created for two elements.
He turned his head back to the leader, "Want to just off yourself painlessly or let me burn you?"
Flames curled around his right hand and his jacket darkened from the heat.
Also, the Fire Element uses less mana compared to the Void Element. I just need to hold on for a while.
The orc leader roared, as if annoyed at the disrespect. He charged again, slower but deliberate. His swings were heavier as Killian moved around it with less effort than before.
He narrowed his eyes, becoming sure that the leader studied him as they fought. Killian's eyes shifted to the other orcs around them.
The others are just watching too.
Killian attacked first, sending another ball of fire at the leader, but the warhammers blocked the flames apart on contact.
He frowned. Were the weapons resistant?
He shifted his focus to the spectators. The way they watched him made him uncomfortable.
They are studying the Wardens.
Wise, but not good in the long run.
He turned away from the leader and pushed fire into the crowd, sending bursts toward the other orcs.
Chaos ensued. Their formation broke and the smaller orcs ran behind the bulkier ones. Some rushed at him in anger.
The leader shouted at him, scolding him for ignoring his opponent, but Killian did not look back.
If they are just going to spectate, then they are not taking it seriously. I just need to leave.
"Inventory," he said, and the Void-Bat dropped into his hand as flames spread along it, thin at first, then stronger as he forced more mana into it.
That actually worked.
He swung, crashing the bat at the leader's side with a hit that lacked his usual power it should have, and his arms trembled slightly.
But it made the leader stumble and that was enough for the tendrils to take over, stabbing into the orc's body in multiple places.
Their stabs weren't deep enough due to his hard skin, but they held him down enough.
The fire went up in the skies and some trees started descending as the flames spread.
Using his make-shift Realmcraft technique, the shadows covered the area around him, and the tendrils kept the orcs from getting too close.
The orc leader roared and tried to break free, but he was already marked. More tendrils rose from his shadows and wrapped around his large frame.
Killian tightened his jaw. He barely felt his hands and legs anymore after using too much mana.
"Let's really end this." he muttered tiredly.
The leader broke one arm free and swung its warhammer, the force tore through the air as Killian barely stepped back in time.
The wind from the hit brushed past him, bruising his face. He caught his balance and focused. A huge ball of fire formed, greater than any he ever created.
It shot forward, engulfing the leader with flames that clung to its body. Killian's arm fell, as he staggered back to a fall against a tree.
His chest rose and fell heavily as his grip loosened on the bat, and his vision started to blur at the edges. He stayed conscious to the screams of the orc leader but it ended soon.
That notification should come now.
The remaining orcs charged, and in their numbers, the tendrils missed them. Also, the range shrunk as Killian's consciousness started slipping.
[C-tier Realm - Orcans Complete.]
[Close?]
Killian's hand didn't move, having lost strength. His eyes were barely open as he saw the orcs closing in one him.
Then aThen the tendril moved on its own, lifting gently lifted a finger and tapping it on the interface.
Thanks.

[Continue? OR End?]
The tendrils pushed his finger towards the right.

[Good job, Grim Warden!]
"Good job, Killian."
Killian smiled faintly, before his eyes closed completely.
