Alex, breathing heavily in his room, still tried to understand why he had that strange dream instead of his usual monthly battle against Sukuna and Meruem.
But deep down, Alex felt that it was likely he would never see his past selves again.
As he calmed down a little, his sadness returned.
Yesterday hadn't just been a horrible nightmare—he could still smell the blood on the dirty clothes in his laundry basket.
'How great… first the letter, then Peter, and now even the only ones who knew the truth about me are gone too. How ironic… once again, Alex—the wrecking ball in action.'
Now, Alex couldn't shake the idea that every bad thing happening to his family and friends was his fault.
That it was all because he was a cursed child.
Looking at the time, he wasn't surprised.
4 AM.
He had woken up in the middle of the night again, and he knew very well that he wouldn't be able to fall back asleep.
But today, Alex didn't want to go to his daily training.
Looking around his room, Alex saw his bookshelf filled with books on law and philosophy.
Only a few were about other subjects—like one about medicine.
All of those books had been bought with his hard-earned allowance.
Of course, he had struggled to find some of them.
Most were second-hand, but at least they held up well.
Happy that justice would make Felix stay in prison for a long time, Alex decided it was time to push himself even further toward his dream of becoming an incredible prosecutor—so that in the future, people like Felix would stay locked up for a long time.
Without saying a single word, Alex grabbed a law book with one hand and his only medicine book with the other.
He began to read… and inevitably thought about Peter.
Then Alex did one of the most incredible things he had learned with his body—reading two books at once.
Something that was incredibly easy for him, even though he never understood why.
A few hours passed until it was 5 AM.
When that time came, Alex stood up and went to the kitchen to make breakfast, trying to distract himself from his thoughts about Peter.
When Alex arrived in the kitchen, he saw Gwen sitting on the living room couch, hugging her knees, her eyes swollen and red.
As soon as she saw him, she pulled the hood of her unicorn hoodie over her face so he wouldn't see her.
Seeing his friend like that, Alex might have thought it was funny under different circumstances—and it kind of was—but he wasn't in a state to react like that.
"Gwen… I… I'm sorry."
Alex spoke with uncertainty and deep regret in his voice.
He blamed himself completely for what had happened to Peter, and he needed someone to apologize to.
But he couldn't do that with Peter's relatives—they would try to comfort him, and that would be a thousand times worse for him.
Gwen didn't respond immediately.
She stayed in the same position for a few seconds.
Alex even turned around to start making breakfast, until suddenly she grabbed his shirt with some force, surprising him.
"Apologize for what…? None of us are to blame for what happened to Peter yesterday… it's Felix's fault. And even so, all we can do now is hope he pays for what he did to Peter."
Hearing Gwen's words made Alex feel a little lighter.
But even then, he couldn't shake the feeling that it was still his fault.
He was supposed to protect Peter above all else.
He knew Peter was a constant target, and yet… he still let this happen.
"I know…"
Alex wanted to say more, but he simply couldn't bring himself to say it out loud to Gwen.
So he chose to stay silent.
Not wanting to waste any more time, Alex walked toward the kitchen to start making breakfast.
Some time later, Alex had already finished making breakfast for everyone and was now outside, not knowing what to do.
His routine had always been very fixed—waking up too early, training, making breakfast, and going to school.
But today, he really didn't feel like going, not when there was a chance he might run into Felix.
Alex started thinking about visiting Peter at the hospital, but quickly remembered that he had reported Felix.
And maybe—just maybe—the police would show up to talk to him. That alone would make it worth it.
Besides, Alex didn't even pay attention in class anymore.
He already knew everything the school books could teach him. If his mother weren't so strict about not skipping grades, he would definitely already be in college.
Still, Alex didn't complain.
Above all, he had met his friends there, so in a way, he was glad he had gone to high school.
Thinking it might be a good idea, Alex decided to go to school just to see Felix's arrogant face shatter when he found out he was going to be arrested.
With his mind focused on a single thing—seeing Felix fall flat on his face while being arrested—Alex headed to school.
More than anything, Alex wanted Felix to resist, because then the police would actually have a reason to beat that bastard.
Calming himself a little, Alex got close to the school, removed his hero suit, and walked inside.
The moment he entered the classroom, the sight of his friends' empty desks left a strange feeling in his chest.
He sat down, looking at the empty spot beside him, feeling his heart ache with regret for letting his friend end up like that.
But he shook his head and forced himself back to reality.
He needed to focus on what mattered—seeing Felix fall in the worst way possible.
Normally, Alex at least pretended to pay attention in class.
Today, he didn't even bother. He just kept imagining different scenarios of Felix being arrested.
Without realizing it, Alex's entire world was hanging on that single outcome.
Because above all, he trusted justice and the law blindly, and the fact that the authority that should "rule" the school kept their eyes closed disgusted him.
He only trusted what he had always wanted to work with since childhood—the thing that was supposed to solve people's problems.
Alex had been carrying too much since he was young.
The pressure of his family's struggles, the need to get a good job so his mother wouldn't have to suffer working multiple jobs, and the way people around him either feared or despised him.
It felt like everyone around him suffered simply because he existed.
Since birth, Alex had been pushed toward a dangerous edge.
Only his family treated him well, and for a long time, that had been enough.
But knowing that many of the problems around him were his fault made everything worse.
As he kept thinking, the bell rang.
It was already lunchtime.
Alex stood up with a bit of excitement and went to look for Felix.
For the first few minutes, he couldn't find him, which oddly made him feel relieved.
But soon enough, when he entered the same court—now restricted—where he had found Peter, he saw him.
Felix and his friends were bullying a boy who looked a lot like Peter.
"GET UP, YOU PIECE OF TRASH! I'M NOT DONE WITH YOU YET, DAMN IT!"
Felix shouted while continuing to kick the boy on the ground without stopping, as his friends laughed loudly.
The moment Alex saw that, something inside him snapped.
Only one thought crossed his mind.
'People like him shouldn't be walking free… so why are they?'
Alex could no longer understand how Felix kept getting away with everything.
He was one of the worst kinds of people Alex had ever known.
"Well, if it isn't Peter Parker's pet mutant! How's your owner doing? Still hurting? HAHAHAHAHA!"
Felix noticed Alex standing nearby and mocked him without hesitation.
Hearing that, Alex finally understood something that had always been right in front of him.
Something his dreams had blinded him to for too long.
'The world is rotten… the so-called justice of the law doesn't apply to those who can pay enough. That's why Felix always escapes consequences. That's why Peter is in the hospital, on the verge of death… the world is too rotten.'
For the first time, Alex saw reality clearly.
The strong get stronger.
The weak get weaker.
And those who try to rise the right way are crushed by those above them.
There is no absolute justice.
"WHAT'S WRONG?! GONNA CRY?! HAHAHAHAHA!"
Alex slowly walked toward Felix.
Unlike the others, Felix showed no fear.
But the rest began to step back.
"OHHH, found your courage, huh? Listen, you filthy little mutant—if you lay a finger on me, I'll destroy your life in the worst way possible, got it? Maybe I'll even have some fun with your sister—"
Felix kept throwing insults and threats as Alex got closer.
Alex didn't react to any of it.
Only when he was close enough did he finally move.
Before Felix could even finish his sentence, one of Alex's hands grabbed his mouth and lifted him off the ground.
Panic instantly took over Felix's face.
"You know, Felix… you're wrong. Because I really want to see you try to carry out those threats… while you're in a coma."
Before Felix could even process what Alex had said, his head was slammed into the ground, shattering the wooden floor beneath him.
"IN THE END, FELIX, YOU'RE GOING TO WISH YOU HAD NEVER EVEN STEPPED INTO THIS PLANE OF EXISTENCE!"
Alex lost control.
He started punching Felix with all four of his arms, using his full strength—a strength capable of breaking concrete.
With every punch, Felix's body sank deeper into the court beneath the shattered wood.
Everyone present could clearly see the blood covering Alex's fists as he stood up, his expression completely empty.
Then he began walking slowly toward them.
A massive amount of cursed energy leaked from his body, spreading through the area and paralyzing everyone there.
Felix's group wasn't large—only four people, including him.
Alex simply walked up to one of them and delivered a powerful kick to a skinny boy with a lazy-looking appearance.
At that moment, there was nothing but pure terror on his face.
The boy was sent flying into a nearby wall, hitting it with such force that cracks spread across it.
Seeing the other two, Alex grabbed each of them by the head and smashed them together with extreme force, knocking them out instantly.
Still filled with rage, he kicked both of them in the same direction, sending them crashing on top of the first boy.
"That felt… good?"
Confused, Alex realized that hurting them had somehow felt good.
Like a release he hadn't felt in a long time.
Noticing that, Alex walked toward one of the fallen boys and stepped on his arm.
KRRRCK
The sickening sound of bone snapping echoed through the court.
Alex had just broken the boy's arm, and for some reason, he felt nothing.
It was as if he had simply stepped on a branch—something completely insignificant.
"You know… before, I would've felt disgusted or afraid of the consequences of something like this, but… I don't think I care anymore. The world is already broken… so what's the point?"
Before Alex could continue what he was doing, a teacher entered the gym.
The moment he saw the scene, he froze in fear.
Five teenagers were unconscious on the ground, each with different levels of injuries.
Meanwhile, Alex stood there, his foot still pressing down on the crushed arm of one of them.
"W-What the hell is going on here?!"
Gathering his courage, the teacher shouted at Alex, who barely reacted and simply looked at him.
What Alex didn't know at that moment was that the dream he had the night before was actually the completion of the fusion of the three souls inside him.
In simple terms—Alex was now complete.
There were no more issues controlling his cursed energy, no instability, no flaws.
This was his true form.
Alex was immediately sent to the principal's office.
He didn't even bother arguing—he simply went, his face completely apathetic.
The teacher quickly called an ambulance to take care of the injured boys while Alex walked toward the office.
On the way there, everyone who saw him either stepped back in fear or outright ran away.
By the time Alex arrived, the office was empty, with only the secretary sitting there, absentmindedly on her phone.
But the moment Alex stepped inside, the atmosphere changed.
A heavy, suffocating presence filled the room.
She froze.
When she looked up and saw Alex—his fists covered in blood, parts of his clothes stained—he looked like a serial killer.
She screamed.
Alex covered his ears at the sudden, piercing sound, which startled even the principal, who rushed out of his office.
"ALEX?!"
The moment he saw one of the school's best students covered in blood—clearly not his own—the principal turned pale.
Across all the previous schools Alex had attended, he had only ever been involved in one incident.
And it had happened here.
Some time later, Alex had already been yelled at extensively by the principal.
Then the parents of the boys arrived at the hospital and began shouting at him—about responsibility, about delinquency.
But when Alex started firing back, saying how each of their sons was dozens of times worse than him, Nora stepped in.
She apologized to everyone present, enduring insults and shouting from all sides.
In the end, Alex felt even more irritated.
His mother had to deal with the consequences of actions caused by those bastards.
Alex and Nora left the school, Nora holding a paper in her hand.
An expulsion notice.
Alex had been expelled for violent conduct and for putting other students' lives at risk.
They got into the car—Alex in the back seat, Nora in the front.
Her face showed both frustration and anger.
After some time, stopped in traffic, Nora finally exploded.
"ALEX, HOW COULD YOU DO THIS?! Not only did you get expelled, you sent two kids to the hospital in critical condition and left two others seriously injured! You're lucky they didn't call the police!"
Hearing that, Alex didn't seem to care much.
But there was one thing he regretted.
"Mom… I don't regret what I did. I regret not finishing what I started. They're not children… they're monsters."
Nora froze.
She didn't know how to respond.
She understood what he meant… but there was nothing she could say.
Nothing that could help with what he was going through.
Alex glanced at his slightly open backpack beside him and saw his law book.
When he picked it up, he felt a deep sense of disgust.
'Law? It didn't help me in any of the times I was hunted and went to the police… not even Peter was helped by it. So what the hell is it even for?'
Looking at the book he had studied more than anything in his life, Alex couldn't help but feel repulsed.
He had believed the law would solve everything.
But it never reached the people who actually needed it.
As the car got closer to home, Alex struggled more and more to contain his anger.
But every time he felt like exploding, he thought of Trix, Nora, and Gwen.
He didn't want them to see this side of him.
A side he had only just discovered.
A side he was beginning to accept… because it felt like the only thing left of him.
Alex was no longer the same innocent boy who believed everything would be okay.
He was different.
And yet… somehow still the same.
A short while later, they arrived in front of their building.
Nora stepped out and began going upstairs, her expression no longer as angry.
Alex watched her for a moment.
For a second, he thought about not following.
About not going home anymore.
What if he destroyed their lives even more just by being near them?
But he pushed the thought away.
That couldn't be true… right?
Climbing the stairs, he eventually reached the top floor.
And what he saw froze him.
Two men in elegant suits were arguing with his mother.
Then, suddenly—
One of them slapped her hard, knocking her to the ground.
In the next instant, nothing was left but torn flesh splattered across the floor.
At the same time, Alex released such an overwhelming amount of cursed energy that the entire building began to tremble.
