Chapter 84 083. Unexpected.
Professor Fawkes pursed his lips and remained silent. Lynn turned his head away, refusing to look at Simon's fat face, and didn't speak either.
"Where's my cow? Where's my cow?"
Simon was still wailing when Rozier kicked him.
"Stop yelling. Go tie them both up, then write to Dumbledore and have him come and get them!"
Smith and Leon came over with ropes and helped tie Lynn and Professor Fawkes up.
Simon was still looking at Rozier expectantly.
"Before Dumbledore takes them away, you must help me find out where the cow is."
"Even if you can't find out, you won't have to bear the loss alone. The three of us will split the loss equally with you."
Hearing this, Simon stopped arguing and waved his hand, his face flushed.
"No need, no need..."
After Lynn and Professor Fawkes were tied up and thrown into a corner, he watched as Rozier put down the gun in her hand, her fingers tied behind her back twitching restlessly.
Although he didn't have a wand now, Lynn had a strange feeling.
With the object that had suddenly appeared in his hand, he could cast spells even without a wand.
However, just as he was about to untie the ropes, the church doors were flung open again from the outside with a loud crash!
Three men wearing baseball caps, carrying something in their pockets, rushed into the church.
Upon entering, the three men were initially stunned by the scene inside.
Then, when their eyes fell on the gun in front of Rozier, they immediately reacted!
They each pulled out a pistol and aimed it at the four people still able to move in the church.
Rozier was about to reach for her gun when a muffled sound rang out, and a bullet pierced the table beneath her, causing her to instinctively pull her hand back.
These men had fitted silencers to their pistols, so they dared to fire without fear of making a scene.
"Quite a few people," Scarface said, glancing at the crowd in the church.
"Don't move! Behave yourselves and you'll live, otherwise... I think you've seen the news lately. We're from Edinburgh, we've killed people, and we're willing to kill."
Lynn squinted at the three thugs who had suddenly appeared in the corner. He recognized them immediately; they were the robbers and murderers who had fled from Edinburgh to Alborough, and were currently wanted by the police.
He hadn't expected them to choose this small chapel as their hiding place.
With guns pointed at them, Rozier and his three companions couldn't resist and suffered the same treatment as Lynn and his group, being tied up and thrown into the corner.
The scarred-faced robber looked at Lynn and Professor Fawkes, who had already been imprisoned before their arrival, with amusement.
"You guys don't seem to be in cahoots. I don't care what happened between you, but you better behave yourselves now, or we won't mind taking a few more lives."
The other five, except for Rozier, nodded obediently like chickens pecking at rice.
The three criminals sat on the church pews. Even though Lynn and his companions were all bound, the three remained vigilant, pistols tucked into their pockets, exchanging glances as they discussed how to escape by sea the next day.
"We're taking a hostage with us tomorrow."
"We need to capture one. Even at sea, it's not absolutely safe. A hostage provides an extra layer of security."
"Let's go with that kid. He's easy to watch and won't cause any trouble."
They thought they were speaking softly, but those bound here were all wizards, their senses and physical abilities naturally superior to ordinary people.
Although some parts were unclear, they could still understand the general meaning.
So, including Rozier, they all turned to look at Lynn.
Lynn was quite bewildered. He had thought that if these criminals didn't intend to kill, he wouldn't risk it.
But now he had no choice but to take the risk!
He made a decision, first exchanging a furtive glance with the five people around him, then whispering a spell in a barely audible voice.
"Torn apart."
The next moment, the ropes binding his wrists suddenly snapped.
The three old men and Rozier, witnessing this, stared wide-eyed!
Rozier almost cried out in surprise. She abruptly turned to look at the crucifix, where, as before, the power she could rely on was gone.
When she looked back at Lynn, her eyes were filled with undisguised joy and excitement.
The three men, including Smith, also saw Rozier's reaction and knew what it meant.
They stared at Lynn in disbelief, tears welling in their eyes.
Only Professor Fawkes remained expressionless, calmly observing the scene, his thoughts unreadable.
Lynn was puzzled by their reactions, but he couldn't care less now.
He gestured to Rozier and the others, indicating he would untie their ropes later.
All three criminals had guns; even with his spells cast quickly, Lynn could only be confident of taking down two of them in a short time.
He hadn't yet mastered Professor Fawkes's group dark magic techniques; the spells he knew were all single-target damage.
Therefore, he needed to unite with Rozier and the others. Although they had their conflicts, they could easily reconcile under these circumstances.
Once the three criminals were dealt with, only one person here could use magic, making Lynn invincible and firmly in control.
Lynn didn't act immediately; he waited for the right moment.
Time passed slowly, and it was late at night. The three criminals had been living in fear for days, and their nerves couldn't remain constantly on edge.
However, they weren't fully asleep either; their pistols remained in their hands, and their consciousness remained in a semi-conscious state.
This was enough for Lynn and his group.
He quietly used five Splits to untie all the ropes binding Professor Fawkes and the others, then whispered...
"I'll use the Petrify Charm to immobilize the two on the far left and in the middle first, then you guys distract the last one while I take care of him."
This time, Rozier was no longer as indifferent as usual, nodding like a chicken pecking at rice. Smith and the others did the same, looking completely subservient to Lynn.
Lynn didn't think about their change in attitude. He narrowed his eyes and pointed his finger at the target.
"Petrify them all!"
The dazzling spell couldn't be concealed. A beam of light shot out from his fingertip, accurately hitting the criminal on the far left!
The other two were instantly alarmed. They stared at Lynn in horror. Before they could even raise their pistols, Lynn had already used his next spell!
"Petrify them all!"
Another Petrify Charm. It wasn't that Lynn didn't want to use other spells. The only area-of-effect spell he knew was Thunder Explosion.
But he was casting it with his finger!
He didn't have the problem of Blue Hair now, so the power was naturally incomparable to before. Lynn was afraid that the spell would explode on his finger.
The second spell struck its target precisely, leaving only the scarred leader as the remaining criminal.
The existence of magic was completely beyond his comprehension; his face was filled with terror as he raised his pistol and roared, firing wildly in Lynn and his group.
"Devil! You're a devil!"
Before the gunshots even rang out, Simon had already charged forward, roaring!
The scarred leader had completely panicked. He fired several shots, only one hitting Simon's arm before being tackled to the ground by the fat old man in a bear hug!
Lynn was stunned.
He lowered his hand, which was about to cast another spell, completely bewildered as to why Simon was fighting so desperately.
