Chapter 134 - Story Time.

Jace started, "It happened when I was acting as a Faceless in West Borough..."

"—Wait," Catherine cut him off. Jace turned his head to look at her.

"Show it to me, like you did with that 'mermaid incident' with your illusion powers," she said with a glint of excitement in her eyes.

Jace smiled and did what she wanted.

The space around them darkened, and a realistic 3D image of what Jace saw that day manifested above them.

There were sounds as well.

....

In West Borough.

Jace sat at a table with various girls who seemed to in their late teens, in a grand hall shimmering with lights.

There were people everywhere, talking and laughing, mostly young people in their mid-twenties.

"...And then he said he didn't do it!"

"Hehe~"

"...He~"

Hearing some gossip about a guy, the girls at his table started chuckling and giggling sweetly; Jace giggled with them.

"What about you Margret? Did you hear about it too?" a black-haired girl in a blue dress asked Jace.

"No, I didn't," Jace—or rather 'Margret'—said.

Jace was today acting as an 18-year-old, redheaded, pretty girl named 'Margret Glassman', the youngest daughter of a rich family.

The party he was currently in, was held by Margret's older brother, who was a careless guy who spent most of his time partying and playing around without a care in his life.

The real Margret was with her parents, who were on a trip to Bayam for business; the older son took this opportunity to throw a great party in their estate.

And Jace who had been acting as a servant of this estates, took this opportunity to take the face of 'Margret' to act. Currently, he was sitting with her friends, talking and gossiping with them.

A waiter with glasses of champagne on a tray was passing by their table, so Jace stopped him.

"Wait," he called out to the waiter, and picked up a glass of alcohol.

The girls at the table looked at him with a surprised look. Just as he was about to take a sip, a girl who sat beside him stopped him.

"Margret, don't! What if your brother finds out?" she said worriedly.

Margret chuckled. "My brother doesn't even know I'm here. He is likely laying drunk somewhere anyway," she said and drank the glass.

Margret was an arrogant girl and kind of a bitch too, as a rich girl would be, and Jace was playing that part well.

A few hours passed by as the girls at the table—Jace included—continued gossiping, laughing, eating, and drinking.

Most of the girls at the table were younger, with the youngest being 18 and the oldest being 21. They were all friends, with Margret being the center of attention along with one or two other rich girls.

Since the party was held by Margret's older brother, most of the people here were older and some even around 30... and that did not stop them from approaching the table of girls, who were basically teenagers, and asking them to dance with them.

'Fucking perverts,' Jace thought.

Most of the girls rejected them, and a few curious ones accepted; of course, no one dared to ask Margret/Jace, knowing that this was her own house and this was a party held by her own brother.

After an hour or so, half of the people at the party were gone since it was late.

Most of the girls at the table were gone as well, with a few hanging around with some guys.

Jace was alone, drinking a glass of alcohol. Bored out of his mind, his gaze couldn't help but wander around the young women who were at the party; some were talking among themselves, and some were dancing to the soft music...

He could not help but find the women of this world beautiful and attractive. They dressed almost always conservatively, yet had this different kind of charm about them that really agreed with him...

As he stared at the figure of a particular woman... his spiritual intuition stirred.

Someone was approaching him from behind.

His spiritual intuition acted up, meaning the person was likely a Beyonder, which was not rare since Jace had actually spotted a few low-sequences at the party himself.

He did not turn around. He was Margret, and Margret had a lot to drink, so she was a bit tipsy and hazy in the head; Jace had been playing that role, and he would continue to.

Soon the person neared him and sat in the chair that was right beside his. A beautiful fragrance enveloped his nose...

He—or rather Margret—turned around to see who sat beside her, and her hazy eyes widened when she did...

It was a beautiful young woman with a fair and healthy complexion, an oval face with gentle and beautiful features, and her hair was tied back with two curly strands framing her face.

She wore a neat and simple, dark green-colored dress with a modest neckline, and her figure was great as well.

Jace was taken. 'Her beauty is... unnatural.' And if Jace, as a Sequence 6 Beyonder, was taken, then the mundane girl he was acting as should be even more taken.

Margret's eyes widened, and her cheeks, which were already flushed due to alcohol, turned even more red.

"...Yo-you are b-beautiful," she blurted out loud with a low and shaky voice.

The young woman seemed a bit surprised hearing that, but then she chuckled with a melodic voice, revealing her pearly white teeth.

She raised her hand and touched Margret's cheek with her soft hand. "Why thank you dear, but you yourself are quite beautiful as well," she said, caressing her cheek with her thumb.

At that moment, Jace knew he was before a Demoness!
