Eliza and Nadia walked slowly across the main dining room of the restaurant, and they deliberately chose the largest booth located near the front window. The red vinyl seats squeaked loudly when the two wealthy women sat down. Eliza carefully placed her expensive designer handbag onto the laminated tabletop, but she quickly pulled the leather bag backward and placed it onto her lap because she noticed a small drop of spilled syrup resting on the wood.
Talia stood next to me behind the long counter, and she gripped my arm tightly. She watched the two women inspect the diner with absolute disgust.
"I cannot believe those terrible women actually followed you to your workplace," Talia whispered nervously while she watched Eliza wipe her hands with a wet tissue. "They are clearly planning to cause a massive problem today, and you should tell Carl to kick them out right now before they ruin our lunch rush."
