Getting punished for distracting Del was something Erin was ready to endure. After all, this was all for Layla's sake, and she didn't want anything bad to happen to Layla again, but receiving a collective punishment was troublesome, especially since Vorden and Quinn were out, and nowhere near here.
They could just say that the two were missing, but that might bring a separate series of issues. Namely, if one of the Sergeants were sent to find them, and saw they were holding the corpse of a student, then there was no way they could get Layla to eat it.
"Fine, let us get our teammates then," Erin lied, and turned to Fex and Layla, "Come on, they're on the other side."
Fex and Layla looked a bit shocked, but they listened, and followed Erin away from Del's earshot. As they were "searching" for their teammates, Del followed closely behind, keeping them within his view.
"Do you have some sort of plan?" Fex whispered.
