Francesca finally turned toward Penelope once more. "He was telling us about a stag he tracked with his brother."
Her sister's expression was animated in such a way that it stunned her for a moment. "A stag?" Penelope repeated.
Anthony nodded. "It was a rather impressive animal."
"How impressive?" One of the ladies asked the question before Penelope could.
One could notice the deep admiration plastered across her expression towards the man before her.
Anthony looked toward her. "Large enough that I spent the better part of an entire afternoon following its trail."
"One afternoon?" Lady Bridget interrupted. She, as well, wasn't excluded. There was some sort of obvious fondness in those eyes. "I thought you said it was nearly two days."
Anthony glanced at her. He didn't seem to mind the reaction he was receiving.
Instead, he seemed to be enjoying it. "Two days would be a considerable exaggeration."
"You said it yourself."
"I said we tracked it for most of the day," he said.
