Domain — Unlimited Void.
From the outside, it appeared as a massive black sphere. Inside, however, was a vast emptiness glowing with faint white light.
Within the domain, aside from the caster and any living beings the caster had physically touched, all living creatures possessing cursed energy were unable to move.
They existed in a bizarre state where they could see nothing and feel nothing…
Or perhaps, conversely, they could see everything and hear everything at once.
An endless torrent of chaotic information forcefully crashed into the soul and mind.
As a result, any cursed-energy user other than Gojo Satoru would have their body freeze in place as their brain became overloaded.
Gojo Satoru floated in midair, glancing at Mirai standing motionless across from him while silently counting the time.
Five seconds had already passed since the domain was deployed.
Gojo slowly drifted forward, observing Mirai's heterochromatic eyes with great interest through his Six Eyes.
Controlling a special-grade cursed spirit.
Instant long-distance teleportation.
And that untouchable intangibility technique.
All of those techniques activated when those crimson pupils lit up.
The jujutsu academy—even the Gojo Clan—had no records of such unusual eyes. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Gojo carefully studied them.
Inside the domain, just 0.2 seconds was enough to force six months' worth of chaotic information into an ordinary human brain.
Even for sorcerers, though cursed energy offered some protection…
Within one minute of the domain, even a Special Grade sorcerer—in Gojo's opinion—would not be able to endure it.
From Gojo's perspective, in order to ensure Mirai survived, he would need to touch him once every ten seconds.
The two had already formed a binding vow. Gojo was required to guarantee Mirai's safety for one minute.
Therefore, at critical moments, Gojo would touch Mirai, allowing him to temporarily escape the flood of information.
Simply put, without dispelling the domain, Mirai would periodically get a moment to recover before continuing the experience until the one-minute limit expired.
That way, Gojo would have fulfilled the contract unilaterally.
As for Mirai's intangibility technique, it would be useless in the face of the domain's guaranteed-hit effect.
Just as Gojo calculated the timing and prepared to touch him—
A faint smile appeared at the corner of Mirai's lips.
Gojo Satoru froze in shock.
It worked.
Mirai exclaimed inwardly as his thoughts returned to the moment inside the cabin.
The instant Gojo deployed the domain, Mirai had activated his Sharingan, linking himself to the Kamui dimension.
Mirai intended to imitate what Sukuna had done—directly transferring the overwhelming information to the Gedo Statue.
However, because the domain had appeared so suddenly, there had been a delay of a few seconds before his intention was conveyed.
The Gedo Statue—the husk of the Ten-Tails, and the trunk of the Divine Tree.
A vessel.
The greatest factor that countered Unlimited Void was simple:
The Gedo Statue possessed no intelligence.
It was more like a machine that only obeyed commands.
Although it possessed endless cursed energy, it could only act according to Mirai's will.
Simply put…
The Gedo Statue had no brain.
Even the most brilliant hacker could not infiltrate a computer that wasn't connected to a network—or even turned on.
No matter how much information you poured in, no matter how complex it was—
If the recipient was a mindless machine, a being without intelligence…
Then the forced information overload of Unlimited Void would completely lose its effect.
If Gojo hadn't acted so quickly and caught Mirai off guard,
Had he connected to the Kamui space even one second earlier—
Mirai wouldn't have experienced even those few seconds of paralysis.
"Gojo-sensei, there's no need for your help."
While Gojo was still stunned, Mirai tilted his head and said with a smile.
Without waiting for a response, Mirai calmed his mind again.
The massive information flood from those few seconds earlier still left his brain slightly dizzy.
The purpose of the first test had already been achieved.
Next came the second.
Shaking his somewhat foggy head, Mirai took a tiny portion of the information he had transferred to the Gedo Statue and accepted it back into his own mind.
Watching Mirai's eyes grow vacant again, Gojo felt uncertain.
What exactly is going on?
Had the domain's guaranteed-hit effect disappeared?
Or…
Had everything earlier just been an illusion?
Gojo cautiously reached out his hand, wanting to check whether Mirai's intangibility had been deactivated.
Tap.
Gojo stared at the hand that had clearly landed on Mirai's shoulder, confusion crossing his face.
He could even feel the powerful physique beneath the black robe—the surging vitality of his blood.
The guaranteed-hit effect of the domain was still there.
Then what had that moment of clarity earlier been?
Smack!
Awakened again, Mirai slapped Gojo's hand away, his expression impatient.
"Gojo-sensei. Just maintain the domain properly."
The binding vow had already been established, and Gojo was required to keep the domain active long enough.
So Mirai couldn't even be bothered to maintain a polite smile anymore.
Right now…
He was very busy.
Using Fushiguro as bait to force Gojo into deploying his domain, Mirai had four objectives.
The first was to test the feasibility of using the Gedo Statue.
That had already succeeded.
The second…
Was about to succeed.
The third…
Still unknown.
The fourth…
He had only just begun to grasp the idea.
Gojo frowned.
Mirai remained motionless.
Inside the domain, thirty seconds had passed.
While Gojo's attention was entirely focused on Mirai—
Within a patch of deep shadow somewhere nearby,
The wheel above Mahoraga's head emitted a crisp click.
"Just what is going on?!"
Outside the collapsed cabin, looking up at the domain barrier floating overhead, Yaga shouted loudly.
Maki.
Panda.
Inumaki.
Along with Yaga and Mei Mei, who had arrived earlier.
The instant the domain expanded within the academy, the surging cursed energy had shaken the entire area.
Yaga had been busy sewing clothes for his puppets.
Mei Mei had been about to ask Yaga for the bonus from yesterday.
Both rushed over immediately.
Yaga feared that, because of the incident with Geto, Gojo might kill Zenin Mirai.
Mei Mei worried that if Mirai died, whether her payment would still be honored.
Cold sweat formed on Yaga's forehead as he immediately issued an order:
"Mei Mei, Panda—prepare to attack together!"
As he spoke, Yaga raised his fist, ready to strike.
Compared to attacking from inside the domain, breaking the outer shell from the outside would be much easier.
But the caster was Gojo Satoru, that monster.
Even Yaga Masamichi had no confidence that the group could break it together.
If the Zenin clan head was truly killed by Gojo within the academy…
Things would spiral completely out of control.
"Prepare to attack!"
"Focus all cursed energy together—don't scatter it!"
Just as Yaga shouted and swung his fist—
His body suddenly froze.
CRACK—!
The sound of shattering glass rang out repeatedly as the black sphere formed by cursed energy dissolved into the air.
"MIRAI!" Maki shouted.
"Mirai-sensei!" Yaga called.
"Zenin clan head!" Mei Mei said.
Inside the shattered barrier, Mirai knelt on one knee, breathing heavily.
Not far away, Gojo Satoru stood across from him, stroking his chin with one hand, deep in thought.
Supported by Maki, Mirai slowly stood up.
A tired smile appeared on his face.
"I'm fine. Don't worry."
To achieve his later objectives, Mirai had repeatedly endured the residual waves of information flooding his mind during that minute.
His current weakness wasn't an act.
Neither was his smile.
Objective Two: Mahoraga's adaptation… complete.
