Chapter 214 - Chapter 214: The Dragon Beneath: Will Dumbledore Face His Past?

"Bella, even you..."

"It was always like this."

"..."

The Voldemort (remnant soul) was beyond despair. He ignored Tom, who could end his life in an instant, and Harry, who had so thoroughly enraged him. He turned to his four remaining henchmen, shouting frantically, "And you?! Are you going to tell me, 'It was always like this' too?!"

"No, Master! We are truly loyal to you!"

As if to prove their devotion, they drew their wands and charged toward the massed ranks of Death Eaters!

They were subdued in seconds.

"..."

Four utterly useless fools. The Voldemort (remnant soul) felt a sob rising in his throat. His only four loyal followers were completely inept. Even if Tom didn't kill him, he was seriously considering ending his own life.

Of course, that was just bravado; he would choose to live if he had the option.

"Time's up."

Tom smiled, raising the Elder Wand. "It is time for you to depart."

The Voldemort (remnant soul)'s scarlet snake eyes reflected the image of Tom raising his wand to deliver the killing blow.

Rumble...

But then, a sudden, earth-shattering commotion on the horizon made Tom pause. He turned to look at the sky on the far side of the stadium.

A portion of the already dim sky had turned a terrifying crimson, black and red lightning flashing wildly across it.

"That thing... it's loose?"

...

Meanwhile, far beneath Hogwarts Castle.

The blue crystal, sealed with goblin mithril, was now riddled with cracks, the mithril itself shattering layer by layer.

Wisps of ominous black and red aura emanated from within—a power whispered to be "enough to destroy the entire world!"

The monstrous black and red dragon, imprisoned within the blue crystal, now possessed eyes that blazed with furious, agonizing crimson!

With unimaginable ferocity, it shattered the seal that had held it captive for centuries!

Boom!!!

The raw, unbridled energy that had been suppressed for so long erupted from beneath the earth, threatening to reduce the castle above to dust!

The unimaginable, terrifying energy emanating from the void warped the entire sky, turning it a somber, dark red.

Fortunately, nearly everyone had been at the Quidditch match. Even the imprisoned Moody had been relocated because Barty Crouch Jr. was on the verge of exposing himself; otherwise, they wouldn't have stood a chance against that initial burst of catastrophic energy!

...

Inside the Quidditch pitch.

Everyone's attention had been drawn to the sudden, ominous spectacle.

"What is that?"

Albus Dumbledore rose from his seat, his brow furrowed as he gazed at the dark red sky. The unsettling energy in the air made him profoundly uneasy, and a faint, terrifying aura nearby filled him with a sense of dread he had never experienced before.

"Al..."

Gellert Grindelwald stood beside him, his expression equally grim. "What...lies beneath Hogwarts Castle?"

"I don't... no, perhaps I do."

Albus Dumbledore recalled a "story" he had heard during his school days.

He had been very young at the time; it happened three years before he started at Hogwarts.

The tale spoke of a goblin who attempted a rebellion and was sealed away in the Hogwarts dungeons by a fifth-year student, who ultimately paid the ultimate price.

Back then, he had lamented that such a brave student, had he survived, would have graduated a year before he had even enrolled.

However, he had never considered the goblin in the "story" to be particularly powerful. How formidable could a goblin be if a fifth-year wizard could seal him away?

But now, those two seemed incredibly powerful!

Thinking about it carefully, it wasn't surprising he had thought that way. Even if the "goblin rebellion" was recorded, people would only focus on the danger posed by the goblin community.

As for the student and the goblin's monstrous strength, any record of it would likely be dismissed as exaggeration.

Even if someone claimed to have witnessed it, most people, unless they had seen it with their own eyes, would simply dismiss it as boasting.

For Albus Dumbledore, even if his professor had told him, "There's a goblin powerful enough to destroy the world," he probably would've thought the professor was joking.

The flashback ended.

Albus Dumbledore spoke slowly, his tone heavy, "Perhaps it is a goblin sealed beneath Hogwarts a century ago."

"A goblin?"

You're telling me this is a goblin?

What kind of goblin could possess such power?!

If they were so powerful, how had the wizarding world remained dominated by wizards?

Gellert Grindelwald looked incredulous. "Al, are you losing your mind?"

"No, I am not joking."

Albus Dumbledore's expression was grim. "And it is already here."

"..."

Gellert Grindelwald swiftly turned to face the source of the terrifying aura. A black and red dragon soared into the sky, reaching its zenith in the blink of an eye!

The black and red dragon was roughly the size of a normal adult fire dragon, only a dozen meters long, but this "tiny" body contained energy "enough to destroy the world!"

"Al."

Though puzzled as to why this goblin had taken the form of a dragon, Gellert Grindelwald knew now was not the time to dwell on it. "This thing... may be as powerful as that kid Tom."

In terms of raw energy alone, the dragon's power was even greater than Tom's!

However, Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald, as legendary wizards, could clearly sense that while the dragon harbored fearsome energy, it was completely uncontrollable, simply rampaging wildly within the dragon's body.

In other words, this goblin had forcibly crammed this energy into its body somehow.

And its terrifying power stemmed from this chaotic, overwhelming force.

"Minerva! Get everyone out of here!"

Albus Dumbledore shouted, ordering Professor Minerva McGonagall to evacuate the stadium.

"Albus..."

Professor Minerva McGonagall looked worried; she understood what Albus Dumbledore intended to do.

Even Severus Snape and Professor Filius Flitwick approached, eager to assist.

That terrifying monster was something that even Professor Dumbledore, hailed as "the greatest white wizard of the century," might not be able to defeat!

"This is beyond your abilities," Albus Dumbledore said with a reassuring smile.

"Besides, I am not alone."

He exchanged a meaningful glance with Gellert Grindelwald.

"Get the students away immediately!"

Albus Dumbledore shouted once more, "Now!!!"

Understanding the gravity of the situation, the professors, along with Ministry of Magic personnel, began evacuating the students and other spectators.

As for the Quidditch match, it had been abandoned the moment the dragon had appeared!
