Kito was outside the planning room when they came out.
Nobody had told him to be there. He had simply decided that was where he needed to be and had been there, apparently for some time, standing with his hands clasped and his expression very serious.
When Talon came out Kito looked up at him.
"Is ev'rything okay?" Kito asked.
"Yes," Talon said.
"Did you go somewhere important last night?"
"Yes."
"Is the important thing done?"
"For now."
Kito studied him. "You look tired. You should eat something."
Talon stared at him.
"Lady Faelyn always says eating helps," Kito said. "I think she's right about most things. Mama says so too."
Talon looked at Faelyn.
Faelyn looked back at him and offered absolutely no assistance.
"I'll eat something," Talon said.
"Good." Kito nodded once, satisfied, and walked away.
Talon watched him go. "He's SIX."
"I know."
"How did he know I needed to eat something?"
