The island stretched for a considerable distance in every direction, covered only by rough, dry earth and scattered rocks.
There were no trees, no grass, no flowers and not even a small shrub growing anywhere across the land.
The ground was uneven in some places, with patches of cracked earth showing how harsh the environment was.
A strong wind moved across the island without meeting anything that could slow it down, carrying dust and fine sand across the barren surface before disappearing into the surrounding ocean.
Devara slowly turned around, studying the island.
He looked toward the horizon.
Nothing but ocean.
He looked behind him.
More barren land.
He crouched down and touched the ground, rubbing a little of the dry soil between his fingers before looking at Vishnu.
