Devara had barely managed to drive the first swarm of piranhas away when another dark mass appeared in the distance.
He initially thought it was the same colony regrouping, but then another swarm emerged from behind it, followed by another.
His expression slowly changed.
"You're bringing friends now?"
The river seemed to come alive around him.
Several enormous colonies of piranhas converged on his position, attracted by the commotion and, more importantly, by the countless souls still clinging to Devara's body.
The translucent spirits had unintentionally turned him into the largest source of food in the entire river.
Devara tightened his grip on Rudhirabhra.
