Devara slowly stepped forward, putting himself between Kandarpaasura and the people gathered around Surya Dev.
The atmosphere inside the Swayamvara hall had changed completely.
What had been a celebration only moments ago had now become a battlefield waiting to happen, with the darkness still covering the realm and the celestial warriors standing ready for the slightest movement.
Devara stopped only a few steps away from Kandarpaasura and looked directly at him.
"You have entered Surya Lok without an invitation, disrupted the Swayamvara and covered the entire realm in darkness. So tell me, Kandarpaasura, why exactly have you come here?"
Kandarpaasura stared at him for a moment before breaking into laughter.
"Why else would I come?"
