AT THE SAME TIME

The stranger finally stepped fully out of the tunnel shadows. Young, too young for the exhaustion carved into his face. Silver hair fell across sharp eyes nearly identical to Kael's, except colder. Older. Dangerous in the way survivors became dangerous. Kael stared at him silently, then immediately looked furious.
"You followed me."Kael accused.
"Correct."The stranger replied calmly.
"I escaped you."Kael snapped.
"You escaped everyone."The stranger corrected.
That sentence hit differently, Adam narrowed his eyes sharply.
"State your name."He repeated.
This time the stranger actually answered. Slowly, carefully, like he was measuring every person in the room.
"Ethan Stoneheart."A man said.
The room froze, even Adam blinked once.
"Stoneheart?"Rosana repeated quietly.
Ethan reached slowly beneath his cloak while every guard immediately raised weapons.
"Careful."Huan warned instantly.
"I am showing proof, not attacking."Ethan said flatly.
