Loreen's POV
Loreen sighed again, the sound quiet but not quiet enough to escape notice from the people around. It was the kind of sigh that came from sitting too long in one place, listening to the same things repeated over and over.
His father glared at him before focusing back on the man speaking in front of them.
Loreen shifted slightly in his seat, resting his elbow against the armrest and pressing his fingers against his temple.
He knew he should not show it. Not here. Not in front of his father, the officials, and the line of witnesses that had been brought in since morning.
But he could not help it.
It had been three days.
Three long days since Sairis, who everyone still thought was lady Candice,, had walked into the dining hall and turned everything upside down.
And now, the entire kingdom was feeling it.
