Chapter 10 - The Rising Pressure

Origin of the Infinite Worlds

Chapter 10 – The Rising Pressure

Astra City is slowly calming down again. The Gates have closed, emergency teams have taken control, and the hunters are submitting their reports. From the outside, everything looks normal—

But inside…

Everything has changed.

Zerion stands on the rooftop of a tall building, looking over the city. There's no emotion in his eyes—only calculation.

Ever since the fight with the Observer, something inside him has changed.

And it's not just power.

"…you've gone quiet," Luna said, stepping beside him.

After a moment, Zerion replied, "…I'm thinking."

"About what?"

Zerion looked up at the sky.

"…the Observer."

Luna frowned. "He's dangerous."

Zerion shook his head.

"…no."

Luna looked surprised. "No?"

Zerion said, "…he's expected."

Silence.

Luna spoke slowly, "…what do you mean?"

Zerion replied, "…someone like him was bound to exist."

He paused.

"…because this system… isn't alone."

Before Luna could respond—

Zerion suddenly froze.

His eyes changed.

"…another one…"

"What?"

"…a Fragment."

---

Astra Guild, Command Room

Kael is giving rapid instructions.

"Keep all teams ready! If something like today happens again, we won't be able to handle it!"

A hunter said, "Sir, multiple signals are being detected again."

Kael clenched his teeth. "Location?"

"Outside the city… industrial outskirts."

Kael paused.

"…where's Zerion?"

Just then, the door opened.

Zerion and Luna entered.

Kael looked at them.

"…perfect timing."

Zerion said directly, "Show me the location."

Kael activated the hologram.

A spot outside the city lit up.

An old factory zone.

Zerion's eyes locked onto it.

"…there."

Kael said, "…you're not going alone this time."

Zerion looked at him.

"…this time, it's not necessary."

Luna spoke, "…no. This time, we need a team."

Zerion stayed silent for a moment.

Then nodded.

"…fine."

---

Factory Zone

Night.

Broken buildings, rusted machines, and silence everywhere.

The team arrives.

Kael, Luna, Zerion—and several elite hunters.

Ragan is there too.

He looks at Zerion, but says nothing.

There's no arrogance in his eyes now—only caution.

Kael said, "Everyone ready?"

Everyone nodded.

Then—

CRACK

The sky split open.

A Gate is forming.

But—

It's not like before.

This Gate emits no light.

Instead—

Darkness.

Zerion whispered, "…again…"

The Gate fully opened.

Something came out.

Not human.

Not a monster.

A… humanoid entity.

Its body is black, its eyes glowing.

Its presence—

Terrifying.

Kael said in a low voice, "…everyone, careful…"

The entity looked around.

Its gaze stopped on Zerion.

"…you…"

Its voice was strange.

As if multiple voices were speaking at once.

Zerion stepped forward.

"…who are you?"

The entity said, "…fragment bearer…"

Silence.

Luna whispered, "…it knows you…"

The entity spoke again, "…give… fragments…"

Zerion replied coldly, "…no."

A moment of silence.

Then—

Darkness exploded from the entity's body.

BOOM

The surroundings shook.

Kael shouted, "Spread out!"

The hunters scattered.

The entity lunged straight at Zerion.

CRASH

A clash of power.

The ground cracked.

Dust rose.

Luna covered her eyes and stepped back.

Zerion stood firm.

The entity stood before him.

Their energies clashing.

"…strong," the entity said.

Zerion replied, "…you too."

The entity attacked again.

Faster.

More brutal.

Zerion moved this time.

He dodged.

Countered.

Each strike created shockwaves.

The hunters couldn't even get close.

Ragan stood watching.

"…monster…" he whispered.

---

The fight continued.

The entity's power was strange.

Not raw strength—

Corrupted energy.

Zerion understood.

"…you're not a Fragment…"

he said.

"…you're a corrupted version."

The entity screamed—

"…DESTROY!"

It launched a massive attack.

Zerion raised his hand.

"…enough."

Energy flared around him.

Creation, Destruction, Chaos—together.

He stepped forward.

One strike.

BOOM

The entity was thrown back.

The ground shattered.

Everyone froze.

Zerion walked forward slowly.

The entity tried to stand.

"…why…"

it said weakly.

"…why strong…"

Zerion didn't answer.

He raised his hand.

"…end."

A flash of light.

The entity froze.

Its body broke apart.

Slowly disappearing.

---

Silence.

Everyone stared at Zerion.

Kael said slowly, "…what was that…"

Zerion replied, "…an experiment."

Luna looked at him. "…Observer?"

Zerion nodded.

"…yes."

He looked at the sky.

"…he's testing."

---

Far away—

In the darkness—

The Observer stood watching.

He had seen everything.

"…good…"

he said softly.

"…grow stronger…"

In front of him, a new entity was forming.

More terrifying.

More unstable.

"…next phase…"

Darkness spread.

---

Zerion stood still.

Fire in his eyes.

"…I will find you."

The air trembled.

A war—

Is about to grow even bigger

Chapter 10 – The Rising Pressure

Part 2

The dust in the factory zone hasn't fully settled. Broken ground, scattered metal pieces, and the smell of burning energy in the air—the entire place still feels unstable.

Zerion stands still. His eyes are forward, but he's seeing something else.

Luna slowly steps beside him.

"…you're sensing something again, aren't you?"

Zerion stays silent for a moment, then says, "…yeah."

"What?"

"…this isn't over."

Silence.

Kael steps forward.

"…explain."

Zerion looks at the ground where the entity was destroyed. A strange black mark still remains.

"…it didn't die," Zerion says.

Ragan looks shocked. "What are you saying? We—"

Zerion shakes his head.

"…that was just a shell."

Luna says slowly, "…the real body is somewhere else?"

"…yes."

Kael clenches his teeth. "…then what did we fight?"

Zerion answers—

"…a test subject."

Silence falls over the area.

---

Suddenly—

A vibration from underground.

THUD… THUD… THUD

Everyone freezes.

Kael shouts, "Everyone back!"

But it's too late.

CRACK

The ground splits open.

Dark energy rises from below.

Not one—

Multiple.

Five points at once.

Luna's eyes widen. "…multiple cores…"

Zerion says coldly, "…backup system."

Five entities emerge.

Like the previous one—

But smaller.

More unstable.

More aggressive.

Kael shouts, "Formation!"

The hunters take position.

Ragan steps forward.

"…this time I'll show you."

Flames ignite around him.

An entity lunges at him.

BOOM

Ragan strikes it directly.

The entity is pushed back—

But it doesn't stop.

It attacks again with more rage.

"…die already!"

---

On the other side—

Luna faces two entities.

She moves fast.

Her attacks are precise, calculated.

But—

They regenerate.

"…Zerion!" she shouts.

"…they're healing!"

Zerion watches.

Analyzing.

"…core…"

"…destroy the core."

Luna understands.

She shifts position.

Dodges an attack—

Strikes the center of the chest.

CRACK

A black core shatters.

The entity stops—

Then disappears.

"…that works!"

---

"Target the core!" Kael shouts.

The hunters change strategy.

One by one, the entities fall.

But—

One remains.

The biggest.

Most unstable.

It stares at Zerion.

"…fragment bearer…"

Zerion steps forward.

"…you again."

"…GIVE… POWER!"

It lunges.

Zerion doesn't move.

At the last moment—

He raises his hand.

The entity stops mid-air—

As if hitting an invisible wall.

"…you're just leftover."

CRACK

The core breaks.

The entity vanishes.

---

Silence.

Hunters exhausted.

Some kneel.

Some breathe heavily.

"…done?"

"…no."

"…more?"

Zerion looks at the sky.

"…it's watching."

---

Far away—

On top of a tall building—

Observer stands.

"…adaptation fast…"

"…phase two ready…"

"…Zerion…"

"…you exceed my expectations."

---

Back at the factory—

"…I know you're nearby."

"…can you detect him?"

"…no…"

"…but he can detect me."

"…then we're at a disadvantage."

"…temporary."

"…we need to level up."

"…training arc?"

"…no…"

"…war preparation."

---

Far above—

A faint crack in the sky.

Invisible.

A Hidden Fragment—

awakening.

Chapter 10 – The Rising Pressure

Part 3

The factory zone slowly becomes silent, but within that silence, a hidden tension remains. The smell of dark energy still lingers in the air, cracks cover the ground, and exhausted hunters stand around.

Kael looks around slowly.

"…everyone regroup."

The hunters gather. Some are injured, some exhausted, but all are still alert.

Ragan stands with clenched fists.

"…this isn't normal," he says quietly.

Luna looks at him.

"…you're finally realizing it?"

Ragan says nothing.

His eyes are on Zerion.

"…he's different…"

---

Zerion stands a bit away.

His eyes are the same—

analyzing.

calculating.

Inside his mind, the map appears again.

Red dots.

Gates.

Fragments.

But—

this time, some dots are moving.

Zerion narrows his eyes.

"…moving…"

Luna steps closer immediately.

"What?"

"…Fragments… some are moving."

Kael stops.

"…what do you mean?"

"…they're not static."

Silence.

Luna asks, "…who's moving them?"

Zerion says slowly—

"…Observer."

---

Suddenly—

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

Kael's communicator starts ringing.

He activates it quickly.

"Report!"

A panicked voice replies—

"Sir! Abnormal activity in the north sector!"

Kael clenches his teeth. "Details!"

"…not a Gate… but space distortion!"

Everyone freezes.

Zerion says, "…coordinates?"

Kael checks the data.

Then looks at Zerion.

"…same direction."

Zerion nods.

"…expected."

---

North Sector.

An abandoned industrial block.

But this place is different.

The air is trembling.

As if reality itself is unstable.

Zerion, Luna, Kael arrive.

Hunters stay at a distance.

No one comes close.

Because—

this place is dangerous.

Luna says slowly, "…I don't like this."

"…me neither," Zerion replies.

He steps forward.

With every step, the air shakes.

Then—

space cracks.

CRACK

A long fracture forms.

But—

it's not a Gate.

It's… a tear.

A reality tear.

Luna whispers, "…this is completely different…"

The crack slowly expands.

From inside—

not light—

but a blank energy emerges.

Not darkness.

Not light.

Nothing.

Zerion's eyes change.

"…void type…"

Kael asks, "…do you understand what this is?"

Zerion answers—

"…danger."

---

Suddenly—

A hand emerges from the tear.

Human-like.

But—

completely white.

No detail.

Just shape.

Luna steps back.

"…what is that…"

The hand comes out slowly.

Then—

the whole body.

A humanoid entity.

But—

it has no face.

No eyes.

Only a blank surface.

Zerion freezes.

"…this…"

he whispers.

"…different level."

The entity moves.

Slow.

But—

with every step, space distorts.

Kael shouts, "Everyone, distance!"

Hunters move further back.

The entity stops.

Its "face" turns toward Zerion.

Even without eyes—

it's staring.

Then—

a voice.

No—

a signal.

Directly into the mind.

"…Fragment… detected…"

Luna grabs her head.

"…it's inside my head…"

Zerion stands still.

"…telepathic…"

The entity speaks again—

"…return… fragment…"

Zerion replies coldly—

"…no."

Silence.

Then—

the entity moves.

No—

it blinks.

In an instant, it's in front of Zerion.

BOOM

An attack.

The ground shatters.

Dust rises.

---

When the dust clears—

Zerion is standing.

He blocked it.

But—

his feet are sunk into the ground.

Luna widens her eyes.

"…that force…"

Zerion says slowly—

"…strong."

The entity attacks again.

Zerion dodges.

Counters.

But—

this time, the entity doesn't stop.

It blinks again.

Faster.

More precise.

Zerion reacts late.

CRASH

He's thrown back several meters.

Everyone is stunned.

Ragan whispers, "…impossible…"

---

Zerion stands again.

Blood on his lips.

"…Zerion!" Luna shouts.

He raises his hand.

"…I'm fine."

He looks at the entity again.

His eyes change.

…serious intent.

"…finally…"

he says slowly.

"…a challenge."

Power starts rising from his body.

Stronger than before.

The surroundings shake.

Kael says quietly—

"…everyone fall back…"

Hunters retreat further.

Because—

what's coming—

they can't handle.

---

The entity moves again.

Zerion too.

Both at once—

BOOM

Clash.

Power.

Destruction.

The entire area trembles.

---

Far away—

In the darkness—

Observer stands.

Watching.

"…new type…"

"…let's see…"

---

The battle has begun.

And this time—

it's different from everything before.

Origin of the Infinite Worlds

Chapter 10 – The Rising Pressure

Part 4

The broken industrial block of the North Sector is no longer the same. The ground is cracked, the air is trembling, and the entire place feels like it's about to collapse.

Zerion and the faceless entity stand face to face.

A terrifying pressure forms between them.

The entity moved.

No—

It blinked.

In an instant, it appeared in front of Zerion.

CRASH

A strike.

But—

This time Zerion was ready.

He raised his hand and stopped the attack.

The ground cracked even deeper.

Luna stood at a distance, fear in her eyes.

"…that's not like the others…"

Kael said in a low voice, "…this one is on another level…"

---

Zerion spoke slowly—

"…you're interesting."

The entity gave no response.

Blank energy began to flow from its body.

Not darkness, not light—

A void-like power.

Absorbing everything around it.

Zerion narrowed his eyes.

"…void assimilation…"

He raised his hand.

His aura ignited.

Creation, Destruction, Chaos—

All three powers activated again.

Two forces stood against each other.

---

The entity attacked again.

This time faster than before.

Zerion dodged—

Countered—

But the entity didn't stop.

It blinked, struck, blinked again.

A pattern was forming.

Zerion noticed.

"…pattern-based movement…"

He whispered.

His eyes calculating.

---

On the next attack—

Zerion didn't move.

The entity came forward—

About to strike—

At that moment—

Zerion grabbed its hand.

THUD

The entity stopped.

For the first time.

Luna stared in shock.

"…he caught it…"

---

Zerion spoke slowly—

"…you're predictable."

He clenched his hand.

The entity's arm shattered.

But—

In an instant, it regenerated.

Zerion narrowed his eyes.

"…instant recovery…"

The entity attacked again.

More violent this time.

Zerion blocked some strikes—

Took some hits.

His body was pushed back.

The ground shattered.

---

Luna gritted her teeth.

"…if this keeps going…"

Kael said, "…he's analyzing…"

Luna looked at him.

"…meaning?"

"…Zerion is waiting," Kael said.

"…he's finding its weakness."

---

The battle grew more intense.

The entity's attacks—

Heavy, fast, relentless.

Zerion's movements—

Precise, controlled, calculated.

Their powers clashed.

Each impact sent shockwaves.

The entire area was being destroyed.

---

Suddenly—

Zerion stopped.

He wasn't attacking anymore.

He just stood there.

The entity attacked.

Once.

Twice.

Three times.

Zerion blocked.

His eyes closed.

"…found it…"

He whispered.

---

The entity blinked again.

Moved in for the final strike.

At that moment—

Zerion opened his eyes.

"…end."

He raised his hand.

Energy condensed around him.

A small sphere.

But—

Terrifying.

He threw it directly at the entity's chest.

BOOM

An explosion.

Everything shook.

Dust, light, energy—spread everywhere.

---

When the dust cleared—

The entity was still standing.

But—

A crack in the center of its chest.

Zerion spoke slowly—

"…core located."

He stepped forward.

The entity tried to move—

Too late.

Zerion extended his hand—

And struck directly at the core.

CRACK

A sound.

Then—

The entity stopped.

Its body began to break apart.

Turning into dust.

---

Silence.

Everyone stared.

No one spoke.

Kael slowly said, "…is it over?"

Zerion stayed silent for a moment, then said—

"…this one… yes."

Luna came closer.

"…are you okay?"

Zerion nodded.

But—

His breathing was heavy.

This fight—

Wasn't easy.

---

Suddenly—

The crack trembled again.

Everyone looked.

Zerion narrowed his eyes.

"…not over…"

Something glowed inside the tear.

A small fragment.

But—

Different.

Hidden Fragment.

Zerion stepped forward.

He extended his hand.

The fragment trembled.

As if resisting.

Zerion said—

"…accept."

A wave of energy spread.

The fragment moved into his hand.

Then—

Was absorbed into his body.

---

FLASH

A vision in his eyes.

A larger map.

More fragments.

And—

One place—

Where everything converges.

Zerion opened his eyes.

Something changed within them.

"…end point…"

Luna asked, "…what did you see?"

Zerion said slowly—

"…where it all ends."

---

Far away—

Observer stood.

He saw everything.

A faint smile appeared on his lips.

"…good…"

"…very good…"

He turned away.

"…game progressing…"

Darkness swallowed him.

---

Zerion looked at the sky.

"…I'm coming."

The air trembled.

The battle of Astra City—

Is about to rise to a much bigger stage.

(°_°)

He destroyed the enemy in front of him… but far beyond the battlefield, something stronger is watching—and the real war is only just beginning.
