Neo found Bryce's behavior weird, of course. Bryce just laid on his chest, running his fingers down his spine without doing anything but the inside of Neo's body became itchy.
He suddenly thought of Raze's words. Could his sentiment concerning Bryce change if he got to know him better, even just slightly?
Neo wasn't sure. But it wouldn't hurt to try, would it?
He reached out and stroked Bryce's hair gently. "Are you sure you're okay?" he asked again.
His thumb made contact with Bryce's cheek, and he could feel his temperature rising. Neo wondered if Bryce was going into his rut which would explain his strangeness.
But his hand was once again caught by Bryce who looked deep into his eyes. It was the daze that came with sleep and hope that covered Bryce's blue eyes. Not the one that was driven by lust and carnal desires.
"I'm sure. Before, my heart was racing. But now that you're here, I'm calm." Bryce placed Neo's hand on his chest to prove it.
