“I will not be marked.” Neo said.

He turned his neck to look at Bryce. “Step back.”

The threat in his tone was clear. “Or I’ll make you step back.”

Neo was betrayed and left to die in the most important mission of his life. 

When he opened his eyes again, it was ten years later and the world had moved on without him. He, who was once the strongest hunter on Mars, suddenly became a civilian without any of his abilities.

Neo has to build himself up from scratch but his sync partners—the people who are supposed to be his soulmates—are set on holding him back and controlling him.

In addition, Mars has become something else and is no longer the home he dearly remembers. Neo’s return stirs up forces that are greater than anything imaginable as he takes it upon himself to rectify things.

His righteous actions gain him more enemies than friends. And somehow, his soulmates seem to be among those enemies.

"What do I think about who?" Raze asked cluelessly.


"The rest of my sync partners." Neo said dryly.


Raze's mouth formed an 'O.' He nodded his head and nonchalantly said, "I don't think about them."


"That's not what I mean." Neo rolled his eyes, trying to explain what he meant to Raze. But he didn't need to after hearing Raze laugh and speak again.


"I know. I'm just saying I don't think about them. I don't find them worth my thoughts." Raze lied on the bed and stared at Neo. "But… I find them very, hm, what's the word… not my type of people? Yeah, that."


"I don't think I'd have much fun with them as friends." Raze added.


Neo wanted to ask about Raze and Armin. Bryce had told him that The Phantom and Armin had some kind of history together, growing up in the same place. They were once friends.


"That only applies to me though," Raze spoke up again. "You might have different views of them if you got to know them better."
