"... What?" Tyrese's mouth fell open. He hadn't expected Neo to compare his sync partners to Bizarros.
"Don't get me upset by saying nonsense." Neo said coldly.
Tyrese swallowed back the questions that wanted to come out of his mouth when he saw the popping veins on Neo's jaw and temple, signifying that he was really annoyed.
Tyrese clearly remembered his mother saying that Neo was never accepting of the concept of sync partners while they were growing up.
Which always sounded bizarre to Tyrese because there was nothing more sweet than having a sync partner and actually getting to meet them in this lifetime.
"Uncle…" he said cautiously, looking at his fiddling fingers and avoiding Neo's sharp gaze. "I don't want to overstep when I say this, so I hope you don't get offended."
"Continue," Neo said, but he might have well have just said, "Shut the fuck up," judging from the tone he used to speak.
