Chapter 125 - Chapter 125

Anna didn't even see Karl move; she only felt a sharp pain tearing through her right cheek.

Several yellowed, blood-spotted teeth flew from her mouth, and her whole body spun several times on the spot.

Finally, uncontrollably staggering back a few steps, she collapsed to the ground with a thud.

And Tamara in her arms had already rolled aside, frightened into tears.

Karl bent down expressionlessly and lifted the crying Tamara by the back of her collar with one hand,

casually tossing her to Dalton, who was guarding the door, and ordered in a cold voice: "Take her out of the house and calm her down."

"Yes, my lord!" Without hesitation, Dalton immediately caught the still-crying Tamara and blocked her view with his body.

He quickly opened the door, slipped out of the house, and barely closed the door panel, isolating the inside from the outside.

Seeing his daughter taken away from this bloody scene, Phillip's eyes were full of indescribable gratitude as he looked at Karl.

He whispered in a hoarse voice: "Thank you... Lord Karl."

Karl waved his hand casually, his gaze again falling to the floor, where Anna sat with difficulty.

At this moment, Anna's right cheek was red and swollen at a speed visible to the naked eye, and blood flowed from the corner of her mouth.

This woman's shamelessness truly refreshed his understanding of the women at the bottom of this era.

She had committed such a scandalous act and was caught in the act, yet not only did she show no remorse, but she also wanted to use her status to fight Phillip?

Karl turned his head to Phillip, who was gripping his sword hilt, his body trembling slightly with anger and mixed emotions.

"Phillip, I deeply regret that this happened. Now that Tamara is out of the house."

Hearing this, Phillip took a deep breath, as if making a decision.

He nodded, and the last trace of hesitation in his eyes was replaced by ruthlessness.

"No! Don't! Phillip! Please, don't kill him!"

Anna saw Phillip holding the blood-dripping sword, step by step approaching the dying man on the ground, and immediately cried out in horror.

She rolled over and climbed on top of the man, trying to block Phillip with her body.

However, her blockade was meaningless in front of the enraged Phillip.

Phillip walked around her, and without hesitation, with precision and ruthlessness, the steel sword in his hand plunged into the chest of the man on the ground, and he added several more stabs in succession.

THWIP! THWIP! The muffled sound of the sharp blade piercing flesh, accompanied by the man's final involuntary moans, ended his life.

After killing the adulterer, the anger on Phillip's face subsided slightly, but his eyes remained cold.

He held the hilt of his bloodied sword and turned to Anna, who lay beside the man's corpse, pale and trembling. The struggle and hesitation flickered in his eyes again.

After all, this was the woman he had once loved and who had borne him a daughter.

At that moment, Karl raised his hand, and a cluster of pulsating, high-temperature orange flames "jumped" into his palm without warning.

He threw it casually, and the flames accurately landed on the body of the man who had just died.

BOOM! The flames instantly spread, engulfing the body and emitting a crackling burning sound.

The pungent smell of burning flesh began to fill the semi-enclosed room.

Karl looked at Phillip's still hesitant gaze, a playful and cold smile appearing on the corner of his mouth, and said: "Phillip, look at her expression."

"Do you think she will thank you for your past efforts after this? Can you forgive yourself for killing her 'beloved'?"

"In her heart, you as a husband are far less important than the man lying on the ground who brought her a moment of 'happiness'."

"Her crying and fear are not for you, but for him."

Phillip's body trembled violently, and he looked at Anna, following Karl's gaze.

At this moment, Anna, with disheveled hair, a red and swollen palm print on her face, looked at him and Karl with an expression mixed with fear and resentment.

When her gaze swept over the burning corpse on the ground, the grief and resentment in her eyes almost dissolved into essence.

She didn't dare to curse Karl because he had really shown he could hit her, so she poured all her malice onto Phillip.

"I hate you! Phillip! Why did you kill him! He was so much better for me and Tamara than you are!"

"He knows how to care for us and accompany us! And you? You only know your lord, your duty!"

"You are completely unworthy of being a husband and father! I want a divorce! I will never forgive you, even if I die!!"

These words, like a poisoned dagger, completely pierced the last trace of tolerance and fantasy in Phillip's heart.

His eyes, which had been slightly wavering, instantly became firm and cold.

All the love, guilt, and doubt were burned to ashes by this cruel curse at that very moment.

He said nothing more and walked towards Anna, who was sitting on the ground.

Then he grabbed her disheveled hair and mercilessly threw her to the ground.

"Ah!!" Anna cried out in pain.

Phillip's eyes were indifferent; he raised the bloodied steel sword in his hand and swung it down without hesitation.

"No! Don't! Phillip! I was wrong! I was wrong! Please, don't kill me! I truly know I was wrong!!"

It was only when the cold blade touched her body and death truly came that Anna finally woke from her resentment and felt a bone-chilling, piercing fear.

She burst into tears and let out a sad, incoherent plea for mercy.

The corners of Karl's mouth lifted; he almost couldn't help but laugh: Where did this woman get the idea she knew she was wrong? She clearly just realized she was going to die!

And Anna's remorse came too late. Phillip ignored her pleas for mercy, not stopping his movement.

The sword light flashed, sharp and fierce, and Anna's pleas for mercy and struggles quickly turned from sad to weak, finally falling completely silent.

In her wide-open eyes were still the terror and disbelief before death, and it seemed that until the very end, she couldn't believe Phillip would actually kill her.

After all this, Phillip seemed to have exhausted all his strength. His hand weakened, and the bloodied steel sword clattered to the ground.

His eyes were vacant; he stepped back two paces, collapsed onto the cold ground, looked at the two corpses before him, his eyes empty.

Karl silently watched all this, raised his hand again, and a cloud of flame fell on Anna's body, which still retained some warmth, and it was soon engulfed.

He walked over to Phillip, who was hunched on the ground, immersed in despair, and did not reach out to help, but quietly said in an even tone: "Enough, Phillip. As a real man, stand up!"

"You don't need to shed a single worthless tear for a woman like that."
