"Matriarch!" A timid and nervous voice suddenly called out from behind the heavy wooden courtyard doors.
Gu Fan's hands froze and a frown appeared on Madam Li's face as they both slowly looked toward the courtyard gate.
"Matriarch... Matriarch, please forgive this lowly servant for interrupting!" a young maid stammered loudly, clearly terrified of angering the untouchable Madam Li, ""This servant has an urgent letter!"
Gu Fan closed his eyes annoyed while Madam Li bit her lower lip before she started laughing.
Gu Fan eyed her with an angry gaze, "You said no one would disturb us."
"I was wrong," Madam Li innocently shrugged, still chuckling.
"Your intelligence network is terrible," Gu Fan complained.
"It is just one maid," Madam Li was amused by Gu fan's childish tantrums.
"One maid has destroyed my entire cultivation schedule," Gu Fan did not care, his little brother was already pointing straight.
