Seeing his shocked face, Seito spoke up again: "Sora and I are close friends. When I first came to this world, my goal was to help him find a good candidate—and you happened to be that person."
"Even after joining Sora's Familia, you can still treat me just like you always have."
Bell stayed quiet for a moment. To be honest, hearing this at first felt like a bit of a blow! But after thinking it through, switching Familias was actually very common in Orario. On top of that, the fact that Seito took the time to personally explain everything just for his sake moved Bell deeply.
Without overthinking it any further, Bell agreed to the transfer. Besides, anyone who was such close friends with Seito definitely wouldn't be a bad person!
"I understand, Master!" Bell nodded firmly, pulling himself together.
Seeing him accept, both Seito and Sora broke into warm smiles. Hestia and Lili kept quiet, knowing this was a private matter between the three of them.
"Alright, let's start the transfer," Seito said with a gentle smile.
"Yeah." Sora and Bell nodded.
Bell immediately took off his light armor, removed his shirt, and sat on a chair with his back exposed.
"So this is how stats work in this world?" Sora stood behind Bell, looking at his back with curiosity.
He had already learned about the Familia status system and the DanMachi world from Seito and Hestia.
To put it simply, the people living in DanMachi existed mainly for the Western Mythos Faction to raise new gods. Before becoming a god, you were part of a Familia. Once you became a god, you became a follower god!
This way of leveling up—requiring great feats to rank up—struck Sora as really interesting. It was a pity Sora was already a God-King; otherwise, he really would have loved to test out DanMachi's leveling system himself. It felt so much like a video game!
"I'm starting now," Seito raised his right hand, pointing his palm at Bell's back.
"Yes, sir!" Bell nodded with resolve.
Without wasting time, Seito used his divine power, releasing a gentle energy that wrapped around Bell.
Bell felt a sudden feeling as if the power inside his body was draining away fast! Calling it "draining" wasn't completely accurate—more precisely, it felt like his stats were being sealed away!
By the end of the process, his aura had completely gone back to how weak he was when he first arrived in Orario.
Seito pulled back his hand. At this moment, Bell was officially no longer a member of his Familia.
Watching the status marks on Bell's back fade away bit by bit, Sora didn't act shy either. He squeezed out a single drop of divine blood and let it drop onto Bell's back.

"Thank you very much, Lord Sora!" Bell put his shirt back on, taking the paper to check his numbers.
Lili leaned in closely to look as well.
While the stats were carved onto an adventurer's back, only those who could read divine language could understand them. Lili couldn't read divine language, but since Bell's stats were translated and printed onto the paper, reading them was super easy!

"Do you want to level up to Level 3 right now?" Sora asked, looking at Bell.
"No, Lord Sora," Bell shook his head firmly.
"I plan to push every single stat to its absolute limit before taking the level up."
Sora nodded in agreement. With that settled, Bell's transfer was completely finished.
"You guys go ahead and chat. Hestia and I are heading out for a bit," Seito suddenly said, looking at the three of them.
"Where are you two going?" Sora turned his head, asking with curiosity. Hestia didn't know what Seito had in mind either.
"To see Hephaestus. She's also one of the Twelve Main Gods—I want to see where she stands on the Main God Authority," Seito said.
Since Hephaestus was right here in Orario, checking her stance ahead of time made total sense. After all, she was Hestia's best friend.
Hearing Seito's plan, Hestia paused before quietly agreeing. Seito's idea made total sense; knowing whether Hephaestus would willingly give up her Main God Authority was super important for Hestia's upcoming rank-up.
Sora had never met the Hephaestus of this world, but judging by the name, she was clearly one of the main twelve gods, so he didn't complain. Bell and Lili looked at each other and stayed quiet.
"We'll be going now."
"Yeah."
After saying goodbye, Seito and Hestia left the mansion together.

Seeing Seito and Hestia show up in public for the first time in half a month, many local gods felt pretty surprised. After all, both of them had completely disappeared for two whole weeks.
What on earth were those two doing locked inside their building for half a month? Could they have been trying to make a baby?
