Chapter 366: Explaining the God-King Sector, Who to Bring Along?
.....
Seito felt a little awkward.
Sae Chabashira had been far too blunt, but his thick skin wasn't just for show. Within moments, his expression returned to normal.
"I've already set everything up for you. Remember to meet with Ms. Chabashira this afternoon," Seito said, looking down at Yumiko Miura beside him.
"Mhm!"
Yumiko's heart raced with excitement as she gave a heavy, determined nod. After that, Seito and the two girls quietly waited for the instructional block to conclude.
Time flew by.
Soon, the afternoon arrived. Class A's morning performance in the underground maze had been an absolute trainwreck. However, it wasn't a catastrophic issue; they would slowly adapt to the new system rules over time. As for Yumiko Miura's matters, everything had been finalized. All that was left now was to let the blueprint unfold.
When the final school bell rang, Seito re-arranged the schedule. Because the Practical Performance Testing block came right before Shizuka Hiratsuka's Live Duel Synchronization course, Seito had swapped time slots with her. This way, the students could go straight home to take a shower and rest after finishing their exhausting real-combat runs.
Currently, on the 95th floor of the Chiba City underground labyrinth.
Sweeping his gaze past the piles of Zerg corpses scattered across the floor, Seito looked at the Class E students who were casually stretching their limbs. "How are you guys holding up?"
The Class E students turned to look at him.
"Feels pretty good, actually," Kitahara Iori stretched lazily, stowing his liquor bottle away as he chuckled. "This underground labyrinth isn't that hard. The Zerg swarms just have an overwhelming advantage in pure numbers, that's all."
"My thoughts exactly. Although the bugs charge forward like crazy, their defensive parameters are incredibly weak," Hidenori Tabata shared his diagnostic analysis.
"Honestly, it felt pretty basic."
"As long as the team coordination is synchronized properly to prevent the bugs from breaking our perimeter, it's a walk in the park."
"We're already at the Level 100 ceiling. Fighting a bunch of regular bugs is an absolute joke, isn't it?"
The students chimed in one after another. Their evaluation of the underground maze was remarkably casual. As long as their team synergy remained tight, they could easily slaughter Zerg swarms of the exact same level without breaking a sweat.
Although they hadn't mapped out the performance traits of a localized regional boss yet, they calculated that it couldn't possibly be too absurd.
Hearing their answers, Seito nodded in deep satisfaction. From the looks of it, Class E's operational readiness was light-years ahead of Class A's performance this morning! The elite students in Class A had clearly been protected far too well by Kaguya Shinomiya. When it came down to raw survival, Class E was definitively stronger!
"Alright, everyone can use their personal transport tokens to leave. School is officially dismissed," Seito said. Since the class block had concluded, he had no intention of keeping them any longer. He didn't even need to deploy his personal spatial shift, as the students could easily trigger their own teleportation matrices.
With a series of bright flashes, the Class E students dissolved into beams of light, vanishing from the floor. Seeing them clear the area, Seito activated his spatial movement and disappeared as well.
The Game Star: The Divine Realm.
Sora, Shiro, and Tet were currently
assembled alongside the rest of the Game Star's resident gods. Concurrently, Maple and the entire inner circle of Seito's Divine Faction had arrived at the coordinate plaza. It wasn't just the core Executives, the three Queens, Kaguya Shinomiya, and Umaru Doma who showed up; even the female member base from both major guilds had tagged along for the assembly.
The single entity missing from the registry was Sae Chabashira. Her absence was entirely logical—she was currently running Yumiko Miura through her high-intensity leveling rotation.
The girls chatted casually among themselves, their collective focus waiting for Seito's arrival.
Zip—!
Seito suddenly materialized in the center of the pavilion, drawing everyone's eyes instantly.
"Seito, you can finally give us the formal breakdown regarding the layout of the God-King Star Sector, right?" Sora asked, cutting straight to the primary core topic the moment he spotted him.
"Mhm." Seito nodded, sweeping his gaze across the massive crowd before diving into a comprehensive briefing of the God-King Star Sector's technical parameters. The entire assembly listened with absolute seriousness.
A considerable period of time passed.
When he finished speaking, a heavy silence fell over the pavilion as everyone processed the staggering information Seito had laid down.
"According to your technical breakdown, you are mathematically guaranteed to become an absolute Main God once you secure the ascension path?" Haruno Yukinoshita was the first to break the silence, her eyes sharp.
"Yes," Seito nodded flatly.
"That is an incredibly dangerous piece of data," Yukino Yukinoshita stated, her expression perfectly calm yet solemn.
If a God-King could successfully inherit a Main God Authority license simply by hunting down and executing another ruler who held one, it meant Seito was a prime target. If the ancient powerhouses on that floor ever discovered he possessed a shortcut pass to the absolute ceiling of godhood, Seito would be thrown into a catastrophic bottleneck!
"Nii... doesn't that mean you and Tet are also exposed to extreme risk factors?" Shiro asked, a thought clicking in her mind as she turned her doll-like face toward Sora and Tet.
Sora and Tet exchanged a look.
"Eh? Now that you mention it, that does seem to be the technical reality, haha!" Tet laughed cheerfully, rubbing the back of his neck.
"It's a minor variable. As long as the two of us refrain from breaching the ceiling into the God-King Star Sector too early, our data footprints remain completely safe," Sora waved his hand flippantly. Although he and Tet each commanded exactly half of a shattered Main God Authority license, their metrics were perfectly safe for now. Tet maintained his standard playful grin, though he deeply aligned with Sora's tactical logic. As long as they didn't set foot on Floor 71, zero hostile parameters could lock onto them.
"You mentioned that the continent is structurally mapped into five core zones, and except for the Central Region, every single zone is firmly locked down by a supreme ruler wielding an active Main God Authority?" Kaguya Shinomiya inquired, her tone flat and analytical.
"Correct," Seito looked over at her.
"Then why haven't the independent God-Kings huddled in the Central Region coordinated a massive vanguard campaign to harvest those four rulers?" Kaguya asked again, her brows knit in slight confusion.
Since they knew exactly which four coordinates housed the ultimate authority tokens, why would those independent rulers waste their stamina pools systematically slaughtering one another in a chaotic war of attrition?
This question wasn't unique to her; the absolute majority of the intelligent minds in the room had quickly calculated the exact same logical contradiction.
"I lack the precise background logs to answer that definitively," Seito shook his head calmly. "But if I had to make a calculated deduction, it ultimately boils down to a massive faction gridlock."
"A faction gridlock?"
Hearing his thesis, the girls dropped their heads into deep thought. Seito's evaluation was incredibly grounded. It was highly probable that the sheer complexity of the rival armies kept everyone in check.
As for why those independent God-Kings didn't simply forge a massive global coalition? If they actually formed an alliance, wouldn't the four cardinal rulers of the East, South, West, and North instantly forge a counter-coalition to flatten them?
Furthermore... could such an alliance between ruthlessly ambitious independent gods ever maintain internal stability? Even if they miraculously succeeded in executing one of the four supreme rulers, who would ultimately inherit the dropped Main God Authority token? None of those ancient monsters would ever agree to share or split the prize. After all, that item was the single, absolute golden key required to breach the ceiling into the highest tiers of the universe!
"Moving forward, who exactly do you plan to bring along into the God-King Star Sector?" Shizuka Hiratsuka asked, exhaling a soft cloud of smoke as she suddenly raised the most critical question.
With their standard God-rank parameters, the girls certainly couldn't carelessly wander up to Floor 71. A single, unrestricted ultimate strike from a genuine God-King was more than enough to instantly delete a standard God from the world matrix!
Therefore, tagging along with him right now was an absolute tactical liability.
