Chapter 364: Leading Class A Into the Underground Maze.
.....
Next... the first-year teachers returned to the third floor together. The morning study period had also just concluded.
Seito spotted Mafuyu Kirisu as she walked out of Class E and gave her a breakdown of the core updates from Chairwoman Minami's emergency meeting. After listening to the brief, Mafuyu Kirisu nodded, indicating she understood the new policy. Seito then turned on his heel and headed straight toward Class A.
First-Year Class A.
The students were currently scattered across the room, chatting and fooling around since it was the standard ten-minute break between sessions. Suddenly, Seito walked in through the front door.
"Teacher Seito?"
Yumiko Miura spotted him instantly. She quickly nudged past the classmates surrounding her, a look of pure delight washing over her face as she hurried over to him. "What brings you to our classroom?" she asked with a bright smile.
"I'm here to conduct your first official lecture block," Seito replied with a smooth smile.
He was perfectly aware of Yumiko Miura's romantic affection toward him, but he didn't mind it in the slightest. To be fair, Yumiko wasn't a bad girl at all.
"A lecture block?" Yumiko blinked in confusion. Around the room, the rest of the class shifted their tracking focus toward the podium. "Why are you the one taking our class?"
She couldn't quite fathom the meaning behind Seito's words, considering their regular homeroom teacher was scheduled to run this exact time block. In fact, their instructor had literally just cleared the doorway a minute ago.
"The standard curriculum for Sobu High has undergone a fundamental overhaul. You'll understand the metrics in a few minutes, so pack up your materials and get ready," Seito said with a knowing grin, reaching out to gently ruffle her hair.
The casual gesture caused Yumiko's face to flush a deep crimson, but she nodded obediently and retreated straight back to her desk.
The moment she stepped away, Kanade Tachibana rose from her seat and glided over to Seito's side. "Seito-kun, what exactly is the situation track?" she asked, her expression characteristically stoic.
"Sobu High has officially re-designated its structural parameters as a Martial Academy. The homeroom tracks will deliver the specific documentation in a bit," Seito answered with a soft smile. Hearing his technical brief, Kanade refrained from parsing further data.
The ten-minute break flew by in a flash. The Class A students settled neatly into their respective seats, locking their focus onto the podium as they waited for Seito to lay down the parameters.
Scanning the room, Seito cleared his throat and addressed the floor: "Per high-level government directives, Sobu High has officially executed its transition into a specialized Martial Academy. Consequently, your standardized curriculum matrices have undergone a total overhaul. Let's first lock down the operational guidelines for the subject I've been authorized to lead."
"Practical Performance Testing!"
"The core directive of this course is incredibly straightforward. In a few seconds, the entire class will stand up on my mark, and I will guide you directly into the underground dungeons to slaughter Zerg swarms."
"As for the broader organizational details of the Martial Academy transition, your homeroom teacher will deliver a comprehensive brief later. Alright, everyone, pack up your equipment and prepare to deploy!"
Seito delivered the absolute core parameters in a single, seamless breath, scanning the entire room to monitor their tracking data.
Hearing Seito's thunderous announcement, the entire class froze in sheer shock. However, the emotional dissonance vanished almost instantly. Given the current global integration of the supernatural era, the state's decision to pivot toward martial training was entirely logical.
Without a second of delay, the students stood up in unison, swiftly checking and fastening their standard combat gear. Tracking that their deployment readiness had hit optimal parameters, Seito activated his spatial arrays, triggering a massive group teleportation matrix that instantly enveloped himself and the entire Class A roster.
Chiba City.
The Perimeter Gates of the Underground Dungeon.
Currently, a massive volume of freelance adventurers had assembled across the plaza. Ever since the underground labyrinth manifested in reality, citizens who possessed high combat ranks or exceptional martial talents had systematically resigned from their traditional old-world careers to register as full-time adventurers. While this massive labor drain left corporate capital owners incredibly frustrated, the structural shift remained within the state's manageable baseline.
"The Wild Wolf Guild is actively recruiting fresh blood! Structured daily rotations to harvest the underground maze! Guaranteed minimum daily payout of 50 silver coins!"
"The God Hunter Team has an open slot for a five-man rotation! Assassin, Tank, DPS, and Mage tracks are already locked down! Actively seeking a primary Support or Healer class!"
"Hey bro, you looking to source some purple-tier crafting materials?"
"Old-timer, how much are you charging per pound for that Zerg monster meat?"
"It's dirt cheap! Only twenty copper coins a pound!"
The perimeter entrance of the underground maze was incredibly boisterous, with a continuous wave of promotional shouting echoing across the plaza. Groups assembling combat teams, vendors sifting through loot, buyers calculating trade margins—countless individuals bustled back and forth, injecting an intense wave of economic vitality straight into the city's ecosystem.
Whoosh—!
Suddenly, a brilliant node of geometric light materialized out of thin air.
Such a highly unique and distinct spatial entry pattern instantly hyper-focused the attention of the surrounding crowd. As the light faded, Seito and the entire student roster of First-Year Class A stepped firmly onto the stone plaza.
Spotting Seito's silhouette, the surrounding adventurers froze entirely in place. Unlike his operations on the high-tier floors, Seito was currently using his civilian face, having smoothly masked his divine appearance to interface with the populace on a human level.
"Sei... Teacher Seito?!"
"Call him the Space God-King, you idiot!"
"Holy cow! Teacher Seito actually descended to the local coordinate gates?!"
"Wait, why is he leading a massive group of high school students down here?"
"Look at the uniform design! That's definitively the standard attire of the Number One High School in Chiba City—Sobu High!"
"What the...?! Isn't that Executive Kanade standing right there in the student lineup?!" an adventurer shouted in absolute disbelief upon tracking Kanade Tachibana embedded within the ranks.
"Holy shit! It really is her?!"
"Good grief! A genuine Fatui Executive is actively enrolled as a regular student? Just how absurd are the educational parameters of Sobu High?!"
"That settles it! Even if I have to mortgage my entire asset registry, I am absolutely making sure my son transfers into Sobu High next semester!"
The crowd erupted into a chaotic storm of discussion. The uniform Kanade wore had cleanly verified her institutional status to the entire plaza. As for Seito... for him to personally lead a student vanguard group from Sobu High proved that his structural relationship with the academy was incredibly deep! In an instant, countless parents across the sector began calculating blueprints to get their children enrolled in the academy.
Scanning the buzzing crowd, Seito merely offered a calm, polite smile. It was incredibly fortunate that both he and Kanade had completely sealed their divine pressure tracks; otherwise, the raw weight of their passive auras would have instantly wiped the surrounding civilians from the world matrix. Furthermore, there was absolutely no reason to hide his identity anymore. With the omnipotent capabilities of a god, if any external party attempted to disrupt his schedule, he could simply re-write their cognitive data, causing them to completely forget what they were doing.
"Let's move," Seito said, stepping smoothly toward the massive dungeon gateway.
The surrounding crowds reflexively split down the center, carving out a flawless path for them. The Class A students followed tightly behind his footsteps.
The group advanced cleanly into the Boss Dungeon layout. Tracking several civilian teams currently harvesting monsters across the initial floor, Seito turned around to audit the core parameters of the Class A roster.
Excluding Kanade Tachibana, the average level of the Class A students hovered around Level 90, meaning their baseline stats were entirely optimized to challenge the 90th floor of the underground maze. The level metrics of the dungeon were mapped in a flawless one-to-one ratio with player parameters.
Therefore, for a group of Class A's caliber, entering the 90th floor was structurally the most appropriate challenge. However... the raw scaling and aggressive traits of the Zerg swarms on the 90th floor were exceptionally severe. Balancing their academic evaluation with a safe margin of error, Seito opted for a more conservative blueprint, deciding to guide the class down to the 80th floor instead.
"Equip your standard combat loadouts. I'm guiding the class straight down to the 80th floor!" Seito commanded, his gaze sweeping across the students.
In unison, the class materialized their primary weapon matrices, swiftly snapping their gear into high-priority combat configurations.
