Chapter 362: Sobu High Faculty Meeting, English Becomes the Universal Language of the Planet.
....
Kirukiru Amou was also eager to learn about the layout of the God-King Star Sector. After all, every member of their faction would eventually have to breach that ceiling and cross over.
"No problem," Seito nodded in agreement. Breaking down the parameters of the God-King Star Sector tomorrow evening wouldn't be too late.
"Should we play some cards tonight, though?" Seito suddenly asked as an idea crossed his mind.
"Sure thing," Kirukiru Amou grinned widely.
"Mhm," Kanade Tachibana nodded gently.
Seeing their approval, Seito didn't waste any time, seamlessly picking up the deck and shuffling the cards!
The night passed silently without another word.
The next morning, around seven o'clock.
Sitting by the dining table and working on his breakfast, Seito glanced at the girls gathered around him. Kirukiru Amou and Kanade Tachibana looked exactly as they did on any regular morning. However, Kaguya Shinomiya and Asuna, along with the other two girls, were currently rocking heavy dark circles under their eyes, casting deeply resentful glares straight at Seito.
There was zero need to guess—the raw structural kinetic noises from last night had been thoroughly tracked by their sensory grids. Seito didn't show a single shred of embarrassment, calmly focusing on his food.
Kaguya's face flushed a deep crimson. Originally, she had been a completely innocent girl who was entirely blind to these concepts, but after a thorough technical briefing from Ai Hayasaka, she fully grasped what those noises indicated! One could only say that the sheer scale of last night's activity had completely smashed past her baseline imagination!
Very quickly, the group finished their breakfast.
"Let's go. Time to head to the academy,"
Seito said, rising to his feet and grabbing his bento box. The remaining group members stood up in unison, packing their materials before following Seito out the door.
Time flew by rapidly. By half past seen in the morning, the morning study period had officially commenced. Mafuyu Kirisu went ahead to cover the class, while Seito remained inside the faculty room, casually chatting and slacking off with Shizuka Hiratsuka and the other teachers.
Ding-ling-ling~~
Suddenly, his system social tab pinged. Seito opened his interface and found an urgent message from Chairwoman Minami.
[Principal: Seito, pass the word along to any first-year homeroom teachers who are currently free. We need everyone to assemble in the conference room for an emergency faculty meeting.]
[Seito: Received.]
Seito transmitted his response. Although he didn't know the exact agenda of the meeting, it was highly likely linked to the high-level directives from the central government. Standing up from his desk, Seito surveyed the unoccupied staff members in the room.
"The Principal has called an emergency meeting in the main conference room. Everyone, please pack up your files and head over right away."
Hearing his announcement, the other faculty members in the office froze for a second before swiftly sorting their desks, rising to exit the room. Stepping into the corridor, Seito strolled lazily down the hall, flanked on his left and right by Shizuka Hiratsuka and Sae Chabashira.
"Seito, do you think the Principal is calling this meeting because the high-level authorities have rolled out a brand-new global strategy?" Shizuka Hiratsuka asked. Her deduction mirrored Seito's baseline calculations perfectly.
"Most likely," Seito nodded. "The landscape of the three dominant races, the management of the underground dungeons... any of these variables could be the trigger. Let's see what the Principal lays down first."
The three chatted casually as they walked, embedded within the larger crowd of faculty members. Navigating through the stairwells, the staff arrived at the first-floor conference room, filing inside one after another. Guiding Shizuka and Sae through the door, Seito located his designated seat and walked over. Since their respective homerooms were aligned with Seito's class, Shizuka and Sae naturally took the adjacent seats.
As the absolute majority of the staff members settled into their positions, a low hum of casual chatter filled the room. Very quickly, Chairwoman Minami and the senior administrative board entered the hall.
Seeing their arrival, the teachers promptly shut their mouths, and the room fell completely silent. The administrators took their positions at the central podium, remaining stoic as they waited for Chairwoman Minami to officially address the floor.
"Ahem," Chairwoman Minami cleared her throat, her gaze sweeping across the assembled faculty before she began. "The high-level authorities have issued several critical directives that our academy must swiftly implement."
"First of all, from this microsecond onward, there is only one single universal language recognized across the entire Planet: English! The surviving civilian populations from the European territories that were recently integrated into our administration must fully learn and adapt to English. Other regional languages are now officially downgraded to a local dialect metric. In all public spheres and official institutions, English is the absolute mandatory standard!"
Currently, all three dominant races across the Planet utilized English as their primary mode of communication. Naturally, the language had seamlessly ascended as the absolute core tongue of the world! As for the foreign populations absorbed by the Eastern Country, their options were entirely binary: master the language and assimilate into the culture, or be left to survive on their own metrics!
Elder Yang had thrown his absolute executive support behind this policy. In fact, he had significantly adjusted the naturalization parameters of the nation! Any foreign resident who could successfully pass the Level 6 English Proficiency Test would be granted full citizenship. However, this policy was anchored by two absolute prerequisites:
Any individual with flawed moral data or a criminal record would be permanently rejected!
Within ten generations of their family line, there must be absolutely zero individuals who had held official political office in the old regimes!
This was the comprehensive blueprint designed to handle the foreign populations. If the state wanted to keep these groups perfectly stabilized, gradual cultural assimilation was the only mathematically sound path. Hearing this strategic directive, the assembled teachers were deeply surprised, but an overwhelming wave of national pride rapidly overtook the room. After all, their country's standing was reaching unprecedented heights.
A sudden wave of excited discussion rippled through the staff. Chairwoman Minami didn't make any immediate moves to suppress the noise; after all, experiencing a deep sense of pride regarding this achievement was something every citizen deserved.
"Ahem," five minutes later, Chairwoman Minami cleared her throat twice. Her signal prompted the faculty to immediately silence their discussions, and the conference hall fell perfectly quiet once more.
"Now, let's address the second agenda item," Chairwoman Minami's expression turned incredibly solemn. "Every homeroom teacher must exert the absolute highest degree of supervision over their respective classes. Any student who lacks sufficient combat parameters must be strictly restricted from entering the underground dungeons!"
"Last night, a massive dungeon outbreak erupted. Countless Zerg swarms attempted to forcefully breach the sub-terran perimeters and flood the surface world."
"A large number of low-level adventurers
who were still grinding inside the maze coordinates during the event were instantly cornered and completely devoured by the Zerg!"
"It was incredibly fortunate that a high-tier defense force managed to intercept and suppress the outbreak in time. Otherwise, the surface ecosystem would have thrown into absolute chaos!"
Hearing this technical brief, Seito rested his chin in his hand, calculating the variables. A localized dungeon outbreak was an inevitable statistical event. After all, the Zerg swarms required massive biological resources to sustain their growth. Regarding the casualties, the central government could only adopt a pragmatic approach.
Nowadays, countless freelance adventurers relied entirely on harvesting dungeon materials to feed their families; the state possessed zero mathematical capability to physically stop every citizen from taking lethal risks. They could only deploy strict guidelines to ensure that underage students under eighteen weren't subjected to these hazards.
"Principal, has the central command released an official casualty count?" Seito asked. He hadn't checked his smartphone interface since yesterday afternoon, so he was completely blind to the latest tracking data.
Hearing his inquiry, Chairwoman Minami replied grimly, "The recorded casualties across our nation have reached a total of ten million lives."
"The Demon Kingdom logged a loss of three million monsters."
"The Spiritual Realm logged a loss of seven million plant-kin."
Hearing those exact numbers, Seito's eyes narrowed as a sharp look of surprise flashed across his face!
