Chapter 205: "Waaaa... Ma... Mama... Waaaaah..."
....
"I thought I'd forgotten how to miss you~ But facing the sunset, I wish you'd return to today~"
"I remember cupping your face~ between my hands, quietly looking into your eyes~"
Humming a light tune, Seito strolled down the hallway with Iori and Hidenori in tow. The surrounding students caught sight of the trio, but since they were all first-year classmates, they had long since grown used to their antics.
The three of them exited the teaching building, intending to kill some time on the sports field. A short while later, Hidenori seemed to spot something and pointed toward a small cluster of trees nearby.
"Seito, Iori, look over there. Isn't that Motoharu?"
"Motoharu?" Seito blinked.
The boy named Motoharu was another character from the Daily Lives of High School Boys circle. Because he usually slicked his black hair back—though he occasionally let it fall into bangs—he had the distinct look of a juvenile delinquent.
However, it was strictly a look. In reality, he was a complete pushover and a genuinely good person who happened to be a fantastic cook. He was also a member of Class E.
"Let's go check it out."
Seito noticed the figure partially obscured by the trees and realized it did indeed look like Motoharu. He hurried forward to investigate, with Iori and Hidenori hot on his heels.
Moments later, the three of them were crouching in the grass, peeking out at Motoharu. He had been cornered and surrounded by four girls.
"Wait, isn't that his sister, Mino? And Yoshitake's sister too?" Hidenori yelped as he recognized two of the girls.
Seito and Iori turned to look at him simultaneously, their faces twisted in bewilderment.
"What?" Hidenori asked, confused by their sudden scrutiny.
"How on earth did you recognize them?" Iori asked curiously.
"What do you mean? I just looked at them," Hidenori replied, scratching his head.
"But they don't have faces!" Seito pointed at the four girls.
It was true. Their long hair completely obscured their eyes, and heavy shadows draped over their features, making it impossible to see what they actually looked like. Seito and Iori were genuinely impressed (and slightly disturbed) that Hidenori could identify them so easily.
"Ah... well..."
Upon being reminded, Hidenori looked back and realized that the girls didn't even seem to have facial expressions. The three of them lowered their heads, contemplating this existential mystery.
Right then, Mino suddenly grabbed her brother Motoharu. With a burst of strength, she began to spin him around violently, turning him into a human windmill.
"Waaaaah—!!"
Motoharu, serving as the fan blades, began to tear up, his voice coming out in ragged gasps:
"Waaaa... Ma... Mama... Waaaaah..."
Seito and the others: "..."
Seeing Motoharu in such a state, they couldn't help but feel a wave of pity. This sibling dynamic was a bit too tragic; the poor guy was being bullied within an inch of his life.
"Motoharu! Liftoff!"
Mino gave a final, powerful heave, sending Motoharu crashing into the dirt. As soon as he hit the ground, Motoharu stood up with a dark, brooding expression.
"Enough! You guys are too much!"
"Hah?" Yoshitake's sister cracked her neck.
"Mino, how about I help you teach your little brother a lesson?"
"Be my guest!" Mino replied nonchalantly, completely disregarding her brother's feelings.
Motoharu was livid. He lunged forward, locking hands with Yoshitake's sister in a classic test of strength.
Ten seconds later...
"Ow! My fingers! My fingers!!"
Motoharu wailed in pain. He couldn't even win a power struggle against her!
Back in the bushes:
"Seito, should we step in? Motoharu is single-handedly disgracing the brotherhood here." Iori looked at Seito.
"Let's do it!" Seito barked, charging toward Mino. Iori and Hidenori followed suit without a second thought.
The sudden appearance of the three boys naturally drew everyone's attention. Seeing Seito and the others coming to his rescue, Motoharu's eyes welled up with tears of gratitude.
"B-Brothers..."
Inspired, he began to push back with renewed vigor!
A few moments later...
"Ah! Ow, ow, ow!"
"My finger's gonna snap!"
"Senpai, I'm sorry! I'll never do it again!!"
Iori, Hidenori, and Motoharu were all promptly pinned to the ground by Yoshitake's sister and the other girls. The three upperclasswomen looked down at them with utter disdain.
"Tsk, these guys are pathetic," Yoshitake's sister sneered.
"Wait, where's Mino?" Senior A asked, looking around.
"Look over there," Senior B pointed to the side.
Everyone—the girls and the three boys groveling on the ground—turned their heads.
The next second, the group of six fell silent: "..."
What the hell is this?! Are you two even fighting?!!
Nearby, Seito had Mino pinned to the ground, but he was staring at her with a look of pure confusion.
It had been too easy. He knew how much strength these girls possessed—Mino was easily on par with Shizuka Hiratsuka. Although Seito had intended to "fish" (slack off) and hadn't used much force, he had brought her down without breaking a sweat. It felt... wrong.
Then there was Mino. As a senior who had never been in a relationship, the moment she saw a junior as handsome as Seito lunging toward her, she had immediately abandoned all resistance.
"Um... Senpai, could you maybe... move a little?" Seito asked awkwardly. Her slacking was even more obvious than his.
"Junior, you..." Mino's face turned bright red. She let out a soft, feminine voice that completely contradicted her usual rough persona. "This... this isn't very appropriate, is it?"
Seito: "..."
The other six: "..."
Can you stop acting like that?!
Seeing this, Seito decided to stop playing around; he needed to go bail out Iori and the others. He began to slowly push himself up.
But at that exact moment—Bam!
Mino's arms suddenly snaked around him with startling speed. Before Seito could react, she pulled him back down into a tight embrace, burying his face against her.
The hair that had been covering her face finally parted, revealing her large, shimmering eyes as they met Seito's.
"Junior... where do you think you're going?"
