Chapter 106: But Now I've Realized Your Class A Has a Major Problem!
...
Seito's voice was sharp and stern.
This was unacceptable! Standing for punishment while looking so lazy?
Ryuen Kakeru shot Seito a vicious glare before snapping into a straight, rigid stance. If the Chairwoman wasn't standing right there, he would have buried a fist in Seito's face.
Satisfied, Seito nodded. He turned to Minami Yomiko and said, "Chairwoman, let him stand there for twenty minutes. Consider it a small lesson for him."
"Very well," the Chairwoman agreed.
As Seito followed her toward the front of Class A, Ryuen was busy cursing him out in his head with every profanity he knew.
Class A Back Door.
Seito suddenly shoved the classroom door open and marched inside. Class A was currently in the middle of a lesson with Hoshinomiya Chie, the homeroom teacher of Class B.
The loud commotion at the back door instantly drew everyone's attention. They all turned to see Seito walking in, radiating an aura of mock authority.
"Focus on the lesson!" Seito barked coldly.
No one listened. Instead, they stared at him, wondering why a Class D student was acting like he owned the place. Hoshinomiya Chie studied him for a moment before asking:
"You must be Seito from Class D, right? You shouldn't be wandering around during school hours~."
"What was that?!" Seito interrupted her.
"What kind of talk is that?! I'm here with the Chairwoman to inspect the status of Class A."
"And I've just realized," he continued, "your Class A has a major problem!"
"Of course..." Seito pointed toward Kanade Tachibana, who was calmly reading her book as if nothing had happened. "This student is excellent. Looking at her, it's clear the rest of you have issues. She seems to be the only one here who actually loves learning."
Class A: "..."
You're the one who kicked the door open like a SWAT team! Of course we looked!
Just as the mental complaints were reaching a boiling point, Minami Yomiko appeared behind him. The class instantly shut up, heads whipping back toward their textbooks.
"Alright, that's enough. Come out with me," Minami Yomiko said, sounding slightly exhausted. She took Seito by the hand and led him out of the room.
In the Hallway...
Chairwoman Minami looked at the innocent-looking Seito with a sigh. She finally understood why Shizuka Hiratsuka had been so hesitant to explain him earlier. He was... a handful.
"Fine, fine. You can go back to class now, or follow me to my office," she offered.
"I'll go to the office with the Chairwoman," Seito said with a bright smile.
She led him down to the first floor, all the way to the room at the far end of the hallway.
"Seito-kun, right? Would you like coffee or black tea?"
"I'll have a cappuccino, thank you~."
Yomiko's lips twitched. A cappuccino? I'd like one too! She settled for making two cups of instant coffee and handed one to him.
"Thanks." Seito took a sip with practiced elegance. "Chairwoman, your recruitment strategy for the school is correct, but it's missing one vital component."
"And what's that?" she asked, curious. A group of beautiful idols—isn't that enough?
Seito smirked. "You're missing a silver-tongued manager! To be honest..." He straightened his uniform. "If I lead μ's, they will be a nationwide sensation. Consider this my formal self-recommendation."
There were nine beautiful girls in μ's. Being their manager sounded like a win-win situation!
Chairwoman Minami gave him a strange look. A manager? Why does this feel suspicious? But Seito had entered "chatterbox mode." He talked her ear off until the final bell rang.
After School, Chairwoman's Office.
Having finally secured a positive response from Minami Yomiko, Seito beamed. "Chairwoman, when Kotori comes over later, tell them to search for my game ID."
In the world of God's Domain, not only were Honoka and the others playing, but Minami Yomiko had an account as well. They agreed to hold their official discussion within the game.
"Fine. Just go home," she sighed. He had cornered her for so long that she felt if she didn't give him the manager position, he'd never stop talking.
"See you in the game, Chairwoman~." Seito smiled and left.
He skipped waiting for Kanade and Amou and headed straight to the mall. They were low on groceries, so he spent an hour shopping before lugging several heavy bags back home.
After stocking the fridge, he went to his room. Finding Kanade and Amou already linked into the game, he lay down between them and donned his headset.
.....
God's Domain, Floor 25.
Returning to his logout point, Seito teleported to the Guild Headquarters.
[Ding! Player 'Shoko' has applied to join 'The Fatui']
He approved it immediately. Only one person he knew used their real name—the gentle Shoko Nishimiya from his class.
[Seito: Shoko, teleport to the guild base. Find someone you recognize to bring you to the high-level office.]
[Shoko: Got it.]
He waited. About ten minutes later, Shoko arrived, escorted by the guild officers Iori Kitahara and "Kirito."
And following close behind them were Minami Yomiko and the nine adorable members of μ's.
