In the distant southern seas of the Kanto Region, there lies an island perpetually shrouded in thick mistNew Island.
A secret research project once took place here, one capable of changing the world.
Dr. Fuji, a genius scientist consumed by the immense grief of losing his daughter, Amber, had struck a desperate deal with Team Rocket. Team Rocket provided him with unlimited funding and research resources; in exchange, he was to create the strongest Pokémon in the world for them.
Deep within the underground laboratories of New Island, Dr. Fuji first successfully cloned the original partners of the Kanto RegionBulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. These clones were nearly identical to their archetypes, yet they lacked something essential.
However, Dr. Fuji's true goal went far beyond that.
During an archaeological dig, he had obtained a fossilized Eyelash Fossil belonging to the Mythical Pokémon, Mew. Using the most advanced genetic engineering techniques, he successfully extracted Mew's DNA sequence and, from that foundation, created a brand-new life formMewtwo.
But Dr. Fuji's ambition continued to swell. He attempted to implant the consciousness data of his daughter, Amber, into newly created clones, hoping to "resurrect" her. These clones, carrying Amber's consciousness, grew up alongside the infant Mewtwo, becoming close friends.
"Amber... soon, we will meet again," Dr. Fuji often muttered to himself in the lab, watching the monitors as Mewtwo played with the clones.
But the experiment ultimately failed.
Except for Mewtwo, all the clones began to suffer from genetic collapse, vanishing one by one into points of light. Witnessing the disappearance of his friends, Mewtwo fell into a state of immense pain and rage. His mental power spiraled out of control, nearly destroying the entire laboratory.
"No... it can't end like this..." At the final moment, Dr. Fuji used a massive amount of sedatives to force Mewtwo into a deep sleep. Under the influence of the drugs, Mewtwo lost all memory of those friends.
Years later, when Mewtwo finally awoke, he was plagued by deep questions about his own existence: "Who am I? Why do I exist?"
His powerful mental energy erupted once more, fueled by confusion and anger. This time, he completely destroyed the laboratory on New Island before vanishing into the vast ocean.
Back in the present, on the training grounds behind Pallet Town, Ash was undergoing special training for the upcoming Indigo Plateau Conference.
"Charizard, use Flamethrower, then follow up with Dragon Claw!"
"Wartortle, aim at the moving target with Hydro Pump!"
"Pikachu, dodge with Quick Attack!"
Ash focused intently on commanding his Pokémon through their drills. After a series of battles and experiences, his team had become quite powerful, but he knew the Indigo League would be filled with experts. He had to be perfectly prepared.
After all, he didn't want to repeat the regret he had seen on TV years agostopping at the Top 16. This time, his goal was the championship!
[Current World Origin Points: 24,700 points.]
[System Notification: Host has been detected to have qualified for the Alliance Tournament. Team enhancement is now available.]
Ash looked at the system interface, contemplating how to allocate these World Origin Points.
Charizard needed to increase his flame intensity, Wartortle needed to improve the precision of his Water-type skills, Pikachu's speed could be pushed even further, Bulbasaur could learn more Grass-type moves, and then there were Primeape, Dratini, Tauros, Pidgeotto...
Just as he was lost in thought, a Dragonite descended from the sky and handed him an exquisite envelope. On the envelope, written in gold foil lettering, were the words: "To Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town."
"Is this... an invitation?" Misty leaned in curiously.
Inside the envelope was a luxurious invitation card that read:
"To the one called the strongest Pokémon Trainer: You are cordially invited to a banquet held at the Pokémon Castle on New Island. From the world's strongest Pokémon Trainer."
Brock carefully examined the invitation. "New Island... I remember that being a very mysterious place."
"The strongest Pokémon Trainer?" Ash mused.
He knew, of course, that this was Mewtwo's invitation, but in this timeline, many things had changed.
"Should we go?" Misty hesitated. "It feels a bit suspicious."
Ash looked into the distance. His Aura Power allowed him to sense powerful energy fluctuations coming from the direction of New Island. It was a feeling both familiar and strange, carrying a deep sense of confusion and loneliness.
"We're going!" Ash said firmly. "Whether it's a trap or not, we have to go. There is an existence there that needs help."
The three immediately packed their bags and headed for the docks.
Waves lapped against the side of the boat as the silhouette of New Island appeared faintly through the mist on the horizon. Ash stood at the bow, feeling the Aura growing stronger and stronger.
This time, he would not only face the world's strongest Pokémon but also solve a riddle about existence and meaning.
