The following afternoon, Xundu had some matters that required their attention, so Rong Ci and Yu Moxun found time to head over there.
Upon arriving at Xundu, Rong Ci and Yu Moxun had just begun discussing technical issues when Ren Jifeng and Yao Xinbo were led in by Xundu's staff. Seeing Rong Ci there, both Ren Jifeng and Yao Xinbo were quite surprised.
Yao Xinbo raised an eyebrow. "Is she actually an employee of Xundu? What a coincidence."
Ren Jifeng shrugged. He barely even knew her, so how would he know whether or not she worked at Xundu?
A Xundu staff member, hearing them discuss Rong Ci, chimed in, "Are you referring to Miss Rong? She isn't an employee of Xundu. She's a technician from Changmo who came over today to help resolve some technical issues with the system."
Sensing that someone was watching her, Rong Ci turned her head. Seeing Ren Jifeng and Yao Xinbo, she recognized them as the people who had been judging her at the auction that day. With only a single glance, she retracted her gaze, her expression as indifferent as ever.
Yao Xinbo chuckled. "Woo-hoo, she's ignoring us."
Ren Jifeng, however, had no interest in continuing to talk about Rong Ci. Just as he was about to speak, Lin Wu walked in from outside. Seeing them, Lin Wu was also somewhat surprised and paused in her tracks.
"Miss Lin."
Upon seeing Lin Wu, Ren Jifeng's expression lost the coldness he had shown when Yao Xinbo brought up Rong Ci. Lin Wu nodded, her face impassive as she greeted them, "President Ren, President Yao."

"Yes," Yu Moxun replied. They were all second or third-generation members of the Capital's upper-class circles, so naturally, they knew of each other. It was just that he followed a different path from them and wasn't particularly close.
After Ren Jifeng and the others exchanged greetings with Yu Moxun, they went to the other side with Manager Zhang to discuss work. Lin Wu, however, remained with Yu Moxun. Lin Wu replied, "I arrived at Xundu this morning. I've just been busy for most of the day and got a bit tired, so I went upstairs to have a glass of water and rest for a bit."
Going upstairs to drink water and rest naturally referred to Feng Tingshen's office.
Hearing this, Yu Moxun paused, his tone growing even more detached. "Is that so? Does that mean President Feng is also at Xundu?"
"No, he's at the Feng Group."
In other words, even if Feng Tingshen wasn't there, she could come and go from his office as she pleased? Did Feng Tingshen have no secrets from her at all?
Yu Moxun gave a brief "oh" and said nothing more. Instead, he took his notebook, stepped forward to find Rong Ci, and pointed to something on the page. Rong Ci looked at it for a moment, nodded, and turned back to her work.
Seeing this, Lin Wu asked, "Which part is having issues? Would it be convenient to discuss it with me?"
Yu Moxun replied coldly, "Miss Lin, I am working. It's not very convenient."
Just as Lin Wu was about to speak, Rong Ci walked over to Yu Moxun and shared a set of data with him. The moment Lin Wu saw Rong Ci approach, her eyes grew cold. Rong Ci hadn't intended to acknowledge her, but seeing Lin Wu's cold stare, she shot back a cold look after finishing with Yu Moxun. Then, she and Yu Moxun went back to continue processing the data.
Lin Wu still had a set of data to handle, so she went back to the conference room and sat down. Ren Jifeng and the others were adding details to some contracts. Seeing her come over, Ren Jifeng asked, "Was there some unpleasantness just now?"
Ren Jifeng and Yao Xinbo weren't sure what Lin Wu and Yu Moxun had been talking about. From their perspective, the two had been chatting quite happily. But then Rong Ci had suddenly come over and dragged Yu Moxun away, giving Lin Wu an unfriendly glare before she left.
It looked as if Rong Ci thought Lin Wu talking to Yu Moxun was an attempt to seduce him.
Lin Wu didn't take her eyes off the computer, saying coldly, "No. I was just asking President Yu some professional questions."
Hearing Lin Wu mention it, Ren Jifeng and the others remembered that Yu Moxun and Lin Wu seemed to have studied the same major. And Yu Moxun was Nan Zhizhi's student. His capabilities went without saying. Lin Wu was studious and ambitious; there was nothing wrong with her wanting to consult Yu Moxun on professional matters.
