"Vase?" Noel repeated, stepping right into her space, his towering frame completely shadowed her. "We didn't mention any vase to you, Gina. Nobody said a damn thing about where the jewelry was found."
My mind instantly flashed back to the phone call with Amelie few hours ago. She's a total amateur, I thought, a weird wave of shock hit me. Amelie was completely right. This person is an absolute idiot at lying and framing someone.
"Went in to clean without taking your cleaning kit?" Phil cut her off. "What the hell do you take me for? A fool?"
Gina let out a pathetic whimper, her knees started trembling.
"Don't bother lying, Gina," Phil said flatly. "We already ran the forensics. There might not be a camera inside Eli's bedroom, but your exact fingerprints were pulled off the gold bracelets and the cash bands. We know it was you. If you don't confess right now, I'm calling the cops, and you'll be riding in the back of a squad car before midnight."
That was the breaking point.
