Rollings Designs - The next day
The attack outside the jail, had shaken me to the core.
I had called the team to come and meet me.
If they were responsible for protecting me and my family, I had to know who they were.
I had to know who they were before joining the team, where they came from and what they are capable of.
Drew agreed to bring them over to me.
Finally, they came to my office in the afternoon.
"Let me begin first," Smith said.
"My code is double zero one zero one and I purposely signed my team as your bodyguard so I could stay around you."
"My duties, you are well aware of them,"
"Why did you never tell me?"
"We are bound by an oath,"
"We are not to come out unless there is immediate danger to the one we are protecting."
"And you were appointed by the.."
I trailed off.
"The Federal Office," he handed me his appointment letter.
I felt odd at the thought that strangers were overlooking me and my family and I never found out.
