Jonathan's POV
Rollings House
I sat across from Veronica as she was fidgeting with her fingers.
"The only reason I came is…I want the truth,"
"I'll be marrying Imelda on Sunday, and I don't want any regrets,"
"I assure you, I won't make you remember things you don't,"
"As that can make you forget me completely,"
"I only want you to know what happened between us."
I realized our conversation could affect my marriage to Imelda.
"Do you remember Sanders?"
"Imelda's cousin? She told me about him."
"Did she tell you what he did to me?"
"Is there anything that she should have?" I asked in a casual tone, void of any emotions.
"You worked with him because you thought he had the Blue Heart,"
"That she already told me,"
"For that, the Blue Heart, he forced me to apologize using you as a shield,"
"His men grabbed you by holding a knife to your neck, forcing me to apologize and later…"
She trailed off as I knew this was hard for her.
