Auditorium - A few minutes later
We didn't speak after that and just kept walking till we came out into the hallway of the auditorium.
The corridor had emptied as most of the students and teachers had gone back to the classes.
I should have too, but then when did I attend my classes?
She was still walking beside me holding onto my sleeve.
I knew she was keeping her distance.
Maybe she was afraid I would hurt her.
But I liked the fact,
She wasn't forcing herself onto me.
It felt odd as she wasn't afraid of me as I expected her to be on seeing me.
But she didn't seem close nor distant to me.
Which confused me to no end.
And that somehow made it easy to accept a sister after fifteen years.
But again my mind and heart began to fight each other the way they did seven years back when I used to do things to Janet.
My heart would tell me to stop, whereas my mind would tell me to do what mother told me to do.
