Chapter 5 - The Beginning of Hell

When we finally got there, Kenji woke me up, shaking my whole body.

I think it was very satisfying for him, disturbing me when I was having a good nap, as he was smiling when waking me up.

I got out of the car; it was a big building, as it was the headquarters of both the Kanto region and Japan.

All the big shots will be present here.

Each region has its own headquarters and a captain and a vice captain for the region headquarters.

Under these captains and vice captains will be the persons that are city heads for each city.

These city heads have their underlings and monitor the city and report it to the headquarters of their region, and the region vice captains report to the main headquarters.

There are a total of nine captains and nine vice captains.

I heard that most of them are old people, as the four of our grandpas are among them.

The man in the car left us in front of the main entrance and left to park the car.

The middle-aged man who followed us on his bike came and asked us to follow him inside, and we followed him.

It was full of rush; everyone was busy with their work.

He asked us to wait and went to the reception and asked something, which was inaudible as it was far and the noise of people is loud.

He then came back and asked us to follow him again.

He took us to the elevator and pressed the highest floor, which was the tenth floor.

I heard that the first to ninth floors are for one region each and the tenth floor is where the region captains are present, and discussions about the country and the other countries are taken place.

And it has two meeting rooms, one for only the region captains and the other for the captains and vice captains.

Each region captain has their own cabin.

The vice captains also have a cabin in their respective region floors.

This is as complicated as shit.

As we got to the tenth floor, the man took us to Akiko grandpa's cabin.

He's the Chubu region captain and head of the Nagoya city; he is Akiko's maternal grandpa and a top officer.

His name is "Adachi Genji".

The man told her that he's waiting inside for her and asked her to go inside.

She went inside, and we followed the man, and he took us to the Tokyo city head and Kanto region captain's cabin and asked us all to head inside.

As we went inside, both the captain and vice-captain of the Kanto region are present.

We went and stood in front of them.

The vice-captain of the Kanto region is also from Tokyo; he is also a top officer, and he is Kenji and Keiko's grandpa.

He was talking to someone on the phone, standing near the window, looking outside at the night view of the city.

He is the paternal grandpa of Kenji and Keiko, and his name is "Kimura Makoto".

My grandpa is the captain of the Kanto region.

He is sitting in his chair and looking at some documents.

I called him; he didn't reply, so I called him again, for which he replied, "I am not deaf, I heard you when you came in, wait till I complete looking at this document".

He didn't change.

He is not at all happy looking at his grandkid after a year, this damn old man.

We waited for ten minutes, and old man Makoto finished his talk and came back to sit.

Unlike my grandpa who shows love and affection to those who are talented even among his grandkids, old man Makoto is a very caring and loving grandpa who treats all the three of them equally.

My grandpa kept the document aside and started to speak with Keiko and Kenji.

"You both will take your test along with Akiko in one week, practice well, and don't worry, your grandpa will train you, both of you can leave".

They left the room, and their grandpa followed them.

Before leaving, he stopped by me and put his hand on my shoulder and said, "Cool down a little", and left.

Was my face that irritated? or was I that angry? I didn't understand that.

After he closed the door, my grandpa started speaking again.

He said, "You will take your exam in one month, in this one month I want you to complete your sword and ki training".

Then I said, "I heard you found a method for me to use a sword in a real battle. Is it true?"

"Yes, and the man who will be training you will arrive soon".

"What kind of training is it?"

"You'll know once you go with him", he said it with a cunning smile on his face.

I went near the table and sat down in one the chairs, as my legs were aching.

A man with eyes of a dead fish with shoulder-length hair walked in.

He looked like he is in his late forties; he reeked of blood.

He saluted my grandpa and stood there.

My grandpa introduced him to me, saying, "He's the one who's going to teach you this one month, so listen to him and don't ask him any unnecessary questions and follow his instructions and be a good boy. Understood?"

"Yes", I replied him insincerely.

"Good, you may go and your training starts now, take him with you", he said.

"It better is useful or else you are going to regret calling me here", I said it in a threatening way.

He smiled and said, "You'll know once you go there".

I stood up and followed the man who was supposed to be my teacher.

He didn't talk much or to be exact he didn't talk at all.

I followed him to the elevator, and we went down to the ground floor; after reaching the ground floor he took me to the storage room in the ground floor.

It contains all sorts of things, like the ingredients for the chefs to make the food for the workers, washroom utensils, white papers, etc.

He led me through all of them and opened another door, and there was another elevator.

I didn't hear anything about it from the old man when I was little; of course, he wouldn't tell me everything about his work or work space.

We both went into the lift, and he pressed the third-floor button, which means it is in the ground and is the lowest floor.

I don't know for what they use the underground three floors for; we'll find out once we go.

The elevator stopped, and we walked out of it.

He took me to the dressing room and asked me to change my cloths, and he also provided me with a pair of gloves and an apron.

I don't understand why I should wear these to train; he also changed into an apron and asked me to follow him.

His voice was nice, but the way he spoke, it was as if he was tired.

This floor has a total of five rooms, excluding the dressing room, and I still don't know what's in those rooms.

He took me to the last room; it was dark as the lights were off.

He turned on the lights, and a man is tied to a chair, he was unconscious.

He went near the man and took a scissors, and he cut off his left ear.

The man woke up screaming, and the blood was pouring out as if there was a hole in a water container.

After witnessing that, my whole body felt like it was weakening.

I was sweating all over from head to toe.

I cold tell that it was nauseous.

And I lost consciousness.
