Saying this, Prafulla firmly grabbed Snigdha by the neck, forced her out of the room, and slammed the chamber door shut with a loud bang!
Humiliated to the core and shoved by Prafulla, Snigdha's rage shot straight through the roof!
Like a lunatic, she lunged at the door, kicking and striking it violently with both hands and feet—"Thump! Thump!"
Screaming like a wild animal, Snigdha yelled, "Open the door! Open it, I say, Prafulla! How dare you lay your hands on my neck? Open the door, you brat of a devil! I'll grab your hair and shake you to death today! Open the door!"
Hearing Snigdha's manic screams and the sound of heavy kicks against the high wooden door, King Aditya and Queen Arohi rushed over from the other end of the royal palace in a flurry!
Arriving at the scene and witnessing this uncouth spectacle, Aditya and Arohi stood frozen in shock.
Arohi shouted angrily, "What is happening here? Why have you started a circus in the middle of the afternoon again? Have you started that hideous quarreling once more?"
Opening the door a crack from the inside, Prabhasa said, "Mother, look! How Didi is behaving completely like a lunatic! She came inside our room and was performing some ghastly, ugly dance! That's why Dada put her out and closed the door. Dada did the absolute right thing! Take her away, Mother, or she'll pounce on us again!"
Hearing Prabha's words from outside, Snigdha kicked the door even more like a maniac and cursed, "What did you say, you wretched, hateful girl? Where did this stepmother's daughter come from? I'll grab you with one shove and slap your face around with another hard blow!"
Bursting into tears slightly, Prabha said from behind the door, "What did I do again, Didi? Why do you always try to beat me up and abuse me for no reason?"
Snigdha screamed through gritted teeth, "Shut up! Shut up completely, you stepmother's daughter!"
Holding the door firmly shut, Prafulla roared, "Why do you keep calling her 'stepmother's daughter' over and over again, Snigdha? Is she your stepmother? She is the child of our father's other wife, meaning the daughter of our stepmother! Even then, she is our own younger sister! Why do you keep insulting her like this and talking rubbish?"
Growing even angrier at Prafulla's words, Snigdha snapped, "You are the one talking rubbish, Prafulla! You keep falsely blaming me! Just wait, I'll teach you both a lesson with a whip today!"—saying this, Snigdha began kicking the wooden door furiously like a lunatic!
Seeing such hideous behavior, brawling, and vulgar abuse from their own children right in the full royal palace, King Aditya and Queen Arohi stood holding their heads in supreme humiliation. Their heads hung low in shame!
Holding his head, King Aditya let out a long, despairing sigh and said, "Everything... everything happened because of my own mistake! This is the punishment for my own sins! Why on earth did I go and marry that Sushila as a second wife in the past? And today I have to witness its bitter fruit with my own eyes! Snigdha, the daughter born of my own blood, is standing in the full royal court today and cursing her own sister as a 'stepmother's daughter'! Behaving like an animal toward Prabha! Look, Arohi... look at what kind of education your daughter has received and how uncouth she has become!"
Queen Arohi, however, grew terribly annoyed at Aditya's words. Turning toward Aditya, she roared with sharp eyes.
Arohi said, "Shut up, Aditya! Shut up completely! It is because of your past mistakes and thoughtless actions that we have to witness this day! Do not shift your own blame onto others! Please don't open your mouth to muddy the waters further, just get out of here!"
In deep humiliation and shame, King Aditya did not stand there for another moment. He walked away to his private bedchamber with his head bowed down, and Queen Arohi, in utter despair, set off with the intention of dragging Snigdha away to another room!
