Following that intense altercation and ultimate insult with Pravasha and Prafulla in the garden, a strange stubbornness and curiosity had chided up within Snigdha's mind. Hearing about that supernatural power of the tantrik, the magical strength of observing past-present-future in a single moment from the mouth of Pravasha, she was no longer able to keep herself still. Merely 1 single thought was revolving within her head—anyhow, proceeding near that tantrik, it has to be come to know whether her royal marriage with Rupanjan will occur at all or not, and if it occurs, when will that auspicious day arrive! Under the spell of this intense curiosity, Snigdha, without executing a delay of even a single moment anymore, becoming almost devoid of sense of right and wrong, departed running with hurried steps toward that prohibited and protected prison of Junagarh.
Through a solitary portion at the back of the royal palace, a deep tunnel path has gone for entering into the interior of the prison. Snigdha, in a hurry-scurry manner, commenced to descend toward the bottom climbing down the damp stairs of that dark tunnel. The tunnel is so much deep indeed that the morning light of the outside does not arrive over there. A goosebumps-inducing silence all around, merely the loud sound of Snigdha's pair of royal sandals—khot, khot, khot—was echoing in that silent tunnel. Descending to the bottom climbing the stairs, she arrived and appeared in a maze of a massive dark chamber. Pitch darkness all around, stretching one's hand out, one's own hand too cannot be observed clearly. Within that darkness itself, Snigdha observed in a hazy manner that, inside a front iron-barred chamber, that devil guard and along with him that strange tantrik are confined. And right beside that, inside another dark chamber, is confined that ultimate villainess and devil of Junagarh, Sushila.
However, owing to that pitch darkness of the prison, Snigdha at first was completely unable to comprehend that how much strange and effeminate the temperament-character of the tantrik remaining inside the jail is! That he, despite being a male, is sitting wearing an absolute female dress, it was not possible for Snigdha even to guess in that light-and-shadow. Moreover, within her thoughts, she had become terribly afraid. Because, whatever it be, that is a tantrik! The tantrik who can speak the past-future of humans in a single glance, who knows how much grave, how much angry and terrifying-faced human he will be! Bearing this kind of a fear and apprehension in her chest, Snigdha was advancing tiptoeing beside the wall of the chamber.
Suddenly her hand went and struck upon a stone shelf remaining on the body of the wall. She observed groping that, on that shelf, a candle and a matchbox left behind by the guards of the royal palace are placed. Releasing a sigh of relief for walking the path in darkness, Snigdha, in a hurry-scurry manner, striking a match-stick, ignited the candle with a hiss. Now, taking that mild yellow light of the candle in hand, she stood with slow steps right in front of the tantrik's chamber.
But the moment the light of the candle fell upon the tantrik remaining on the other side of the iron bars, Snigdha stood keeping her 2 eyes large and wide open in a gaped mouth! She observed, the tantrik is not sitting in any tiger's skin or the attire of a matted-hair saint, rather he is sitting huddled up on the dirt floor wearing an absolute female-like flared colorful ghaghra! And the matter of greatest surprise and strangeness is—that ghaghra belongs to no one else, that is the favorite ghaghra of Pravasha herself!
Observing this kind of strange, ludicrous, and effeminate dress-attire of a massive tantrik, Snigdha forgot all the fear of her internal self in a single moment. An upsurge of a massive torrent of laughter erupted from within her chest. She was unable to restrain that laughter even holding her own mouth. And while laughing indeed, 1 massive mishap occurred! In the shock of laughter, Snigdha's hand trembled and the burning candle slipped from her hand and fell upon the filthy floor of the jail. The moment it fell on the floor, the candle extinguished in 1 puff and the entire prison drowned in pitch darkness again just like before. But even though the candle extinguished, that mad-like sound of laughter of Snigdha did not stop. She, within that darkness itself, placing her hand upon her stomach, commenced to laugh loudly with a piercing sound as 'ha ha ha, hi hi hi'.
Hearing this kind of a woman's loud laughter suddenly in that silence of the underworld of the prison, the tantrik remaining inside the jail, the devil guard, and Sushila remaining in the adjacent chamber—everyone startled and woke up from sleep in a hurry-scurry manner. They had contemplated that some ghost-spirit or witch has perhaps raided the prison dungeon! The tantrik, on his part, lifting that ghaghra of Pravasha of his own body upward with 2 hands in fear, arrived running toward the bars of the jail trembling thoroughly exactly like females. Making his own voice thin completely in an effeminate tune, he screamed out in a nackamo-filled voice, "Uima! Uima go! Who is this re baba? In this midnight—thuri, in this morning, who is laughing in such a piercing manner with a loud scream, go? Some witch, female ghost, or yogini did not arrive in the prison dungeon, right baba? O Ma go, what a kind of a nasty and ominous sound this is, re baba! On my part, listening to it, the ear became fully deaf, the head too became fully bad, go! Who is there? Who is laughing? O Sushila Boudi! O my husband guard! Where are you all, go? You people save me! O thori, thori, thori! Why am I uttering guard as my husband again with my own mouth, go? I am truly an absolute crazy, a crazy of massive nackamo, one!" Uttering this, the tantrik commenced to make endearment striking a mild slap on his own cheek himself.
Witnessing this kind of strange effeminate conversation, gestures, and nackamo of the tantrik, the force of laughter of Snigdha standing outside the dark chamber increased 10 times more as it were. Laughing, she almost backed her body against the wall. However, it appeared to her mind that if she remains in darkness in this manner, then the actual fun won't be able to be observed. Therefore, she, in a hurry-scurry manner, groping on the dirt floor, took up the extinguished candle and the matchbox again. Thereafter, striking another match-stick, she lit up the candle anew with a flare. In that bright light of the candle, the chambers of the entire prison sparkled again.
Snigdha now, attempting to bring back her own royal gravity, standing in the corridor of the jail, called out screaming loudly, "Guard! Ohe principal guards of Junagarh! In which hell did you all die? Why have you people not executed any arrangement of light in this lower tunnel of the prison? Why is it remaining so much pitch dark all around over here, yeah? Why have you people not ignited the torches hanging on the wall yet? Have you people been kept in work giving salary merely for sitting and sleeping in this royal palace? The princess is delivering the command—whosoever is wherever, bringing torches and oil right now, fill this entire tunnel with light upon light!"
Hearing this kind of sharp command of the princess in the absence of the Maharaja, 4-5 guards from above, placing their hand-spears down, in a hurry-scurry manner, taking torches and vessels of oil, descended down climbing the stairs of the tunnel. They, without wasting a single moment of time anymore, ignited the massive torches 1 by 1 in the iron rings remaining on the body of the wall. In that intense and bright reddish light of the torches, the entire underground prison became bright like the light of day within a single blink. Now, in that intense light, the face of everyone all around commenced to be observed absolutely clearly and distinctly.
