Chapter 85 - Chapter 85: Taking Away the Protagonists of My Date with a Vampire

Qiu Xia mused that if it were Ma Danna, Jiang Chen might go easy on her, considering she belonged to a family of old acquaintances who had helped him kill time for a thousand years. If it were Qiu Xia himself, however, Jiang Chen likely wouldn't hold back. A mere fraction of the Progenitor's strength would probably be enough to end him instantly.

Even though Qiu Xia didn't accompany Ma Danna on her hunt, he gave her a bottle of top-grade healing pills. The mere fragrance of the medicine made Ma Danna feel a sense of relief. Having spent her life in the supernatural world, she knew that such pills were priceless treasures. Despite her annoyance at Qiu Xia's refusal to go with her, she felt a deep sense of gratitude for the gift.

On the day after Ma Danna's departure, Kuang Tianyou and Ho Fuk-sang realized something was terribly wrong. They found themselves hyper-sensitive to the scent of blood and unable to stomach normal food. From the lore Ma Danna had shared previously, Kuang Tianyou realized the truth: he had been bitten by Jiang Chen. He had turned into a vampire.

Once he confirmed their condition, Kuang Tianyou prepared to take Ho Fuk-sang and quietly slip away from Red Creek Village. However, as they moved through the darkness toward the village outskirts, they saw a familiar figure sitting atop a large rock.

"Qiu Xia? It's so late, why aren't you resting?" Kuang Tianyou's expression flickered for a moment, but he quickly masked it and greeted him as if nothing were wrong.

"Found out you've become vampires?" Qiu Xia looked at Kuang Tianyou and got straight to the point.

Kuang Tianyou's face paled. Then, remembering something, he nodded. "That's right. You're a cultivator; of course you'd notice what's happened to Fuk-sang and me."

"What are your plans?" Qiu Xia asked, watching the emotions play across their faces.

The two were taken aback. Ho Fuk-sang looked at Qiu Xia with disbelief. "Brother Qiu Xia, aren't you going to attack us?"

"Why would I do that? Just because you're vampires? You haven't harmed anyone. I'll just keep you by my side and look after you. Why should I strike you down?"

Hearing Qiu Xia's attitude, their eyes widened. After a long silence, Kuang Tianyou finally spoke. "If you don't act against us, aren't you afraid of being condemned by other Daoist sects?"

"Will their condemnation cost me a piece of my flesh? Will it make my cultivation rise or fall? Their judgment has nothing to do with me!" Qiu Xia waved his hand dismissively. He reached into his pocket, pulled out two black pellets, and handed them to Kuang Tianyou and Ho Fuk-sang.

"Try these. I developed them specifically for vampires. They don't do much for the mindless walking dead that crawl out of the dirt, but I'm curious to see if they work for the Descendants of Jiang Chen like you."

Ho Fuk-sang took the pellet but looked at Kuang Tianyou hesitantly. Seeing this, Kuang Tianyou said, "Eat it. At worst, we'll just have an upset stomach. What else could happen to us?"

Ho Fuk-sang nodded and swallowed the pellet. As soon as they ate them, they felt a sensation like fire igniting in their bellies. It was incredibly hot, but following the heat, a surge of strength began to flood their bodies. Their physical states improved rapidly.

A powerful aura erupted from the two of them. Their hair transformed from black to a stark, snowy white, and their eyes glowed with a vibrant, eerie green.

"Roar!"

Under the pressure of their massive auras, Qiu Xia was forced back several steps. His face was full of shock. "Holy crap... just entering the Green Eye State is this powerful? If they entered their Beast Form or the Pangu Battle Pattern Form, wouldn't they be completely off the charts?"

He realized the saying was true: a Second Generation Vampire could indeed challenge immortals and Buddhas. It reminded him of the future, where Kuang Tianyou would beat Fahai so badly the legendary monk looked like a burrowing mole.

What exactly were the pellets Qiu Xia had given them? It was simple: Qiu Xia had used the blood of the invaders he had killed, combined with their life force, and refined it with Yin Qi and malevolent energy.

For a creature with a Yin attribute, this was a rare treasure for boosting cultivation. Because of this, a single pill had instantly pulled Kuang Tianyou and Ho Fuk-sang out of their weakened state.

"Brother Qiu Xia, what was that? I feel like my strength has increased tremendously!" As he spoke, Ho Fuk-sang easily hoisted a massive rock that lay nearby.

"It's a special pill I researched using herbs and animal bloodthough I consider those invaders to be animals too," Qiu Xia explained. "With these, you two won't have to worry about going hungry. Just stay with me from now on. Otherwise, if you're not careful and run into some self-righteous zealot, you'll be in trouble."

"Then... we'll be in your care!" Kuang Tianyou realized he had no other choice. If they didn't follow Qiu Xia, he and Fuk-sang would be forced to drink the blood of animals or the dead. Now, with Qiu Xia providing these pills, they wouldn't have to worry about starvation. It was the best possible outcome.

Besides, after spending a few days with Qiu Xia, Kuang Tianyou felt that the man wasn't a bad person.

Seeing Kuang Tianyou agree, a smile spread across Qiu Xia's face. "Don't worry, I'll take good care of you. Come with me."

Qiu Xia led the two of them to the mountain cave where Jiang Chen had previously slept.

"I'm going to bring you into a special space first, and then we'll leave this place together. Don't worry, I'll leave word for Ah Sau and Fuk-sang's parents."

Although their current strength might have actually surpassed Qiu Xia's, they were not on guard against him. Since they hadn't fully mastered their new powers yet, Qiu Xia easily drew them into his Small World.

The location Qiu Xia chose was the very spot where Jiang Chen had slept. Because the area was saturated with Jiang Chen's aura, Destiny didn't dare peer too closely.

Otherwise, if Destiny noticed that Kuang Tianyou and Ho Fuk-sang had vanished, it would surely cause a massive disturbance. After all, both of them were key pieces in Destiny's grand scheme. It was only much later in the original timeline that Kuang Tianyou, through the blood of a Demon Star and the power of love, managed to transcend those calculations.

After storing the two inside the Small World, Qiu Xia quietly returned to Red Creek Village. He left a letter for Ho Fuk-sang's parents and another for Ah Sau. Unlike the one for the parents, the letter for Ah Sau was accompanied by two bottles.

Having finished these tasks, Qiu Xia took the two vampires hidden in his Small World and vanished from this era entirely.

Upon reading the letters, Fuk-sang's parents and Ah Sau learned the truth: their husbands and sons had become vampires. Though they were devastated by the separation, they knew that staying together would only bring more pain and might even draw exorcists to harm them. Being taken away by Qiu Xia was the best possible choice.

In her letter, Ah Sau learned the contents of the two bottles. One contained a Zombie Pill. Qiu Xia wrote that if she made the decision, she could take the pill to become an immortal, undying vampire, giving her enough time to wait for Kuang Guohua. The other bottle contained Yin Spirit Pills, which would increase her strength and allow her to survive without consuming blood.

Perhaps Ah Sau's love for Kuang Guohua was simply too deep. Three days after receiving the medicine, she walked into the cave where Jiang Chen had slept and swallowed the pill.

As soon as she did, a wave of agonizing pain hit her. It was a pain that far surpassed even the labor of childbirth. The sheer intensity caused her to black out. While she was unconscious, a massive amount of Corpse Qi and Yin Qi began to merge into her body.

An unknown amount of time passed. When Ah Sau finally opened her eyes again, they had turned a distinct yellowish-green, like a leaf turning in autumn.

The newly awakened Ah Sau felt an overwhelming hunger. A desperate craving for blood pounded against her mind, threatening to drive her mad. Just as she was about to lose herself to the instinct, she remembered Qiu Xia's instructions. Fighting for control, she pulled out the other bottle and tossed several pills into her mouth.

After taking the medicine, the bloodlust in her mind was suppressed, and she felt a surge of incredible power coursing through her veins.
