Chapter 62 - Chapter 61

He raised his hand and gently pointed at the sky.

Buzz!

A golden pillar of light descended from the sky, landing on an open space not far away.

As the light dissipated, a giant screen made of energy appeared before everyone.

On the screen, an image began to play.

It was the vast Universe, with countless Planets being born and dying within it.

Immediately after, a colossal figure appeared in the frame.

Everyone was familiar with this figure; it was their creator.

The Celestials, Arishem the Judge.

He extended his giant hand and sowed a seed into a young Planet.

The scene fast-forwarded, and life began to emerge on the Planet, from single-celled organisms to intelligent civilizations, everything evolving at an accelerated pace.

Then, a group of Eternal, clad in various colored battle suits, descended upon that Planet.

They cleared out monsters called Deviants and guided the development of civilization.

Upon seeing this, the expressions of the Eternal changed.

Because everything in the image was exactly like their own experience.

"This… this is…" Sersi murmured to herself.

"Don't rush, the best part is yet to come," Leon's voice echoed in their ears.

The image changed again.

The civilization on that Planet reached its peak, and the population reached a terrifying number.

Then, disaster struck.

The Planet began to tremble violently, its crust cracked, and lava erupted.

A colossal arm suddenly extended from deep within the Planet's core, tearing apart the Earth!

"The Emergence"!

A new God was born from the remnants of the Planet.

And the prosperous civilization on that Planet, the intelligent life, all instantly transformed into energy, absorbed by the newly born God.

The image froze on the new God's cold and emotionless eyes.

Immediately after, countless similar scenes appeared on the screen.

One Planet after another, one civilization after another, all repeating the same fate.

That was to be nurtured, to be protected, and then to be devoured.

They were like carefully tended vegetables in a farm, their only mission being to be harvested when mature.

No one spoke again.

Silence enveloped the wasteland.

If Leon's words before had only shaken their faith, then the images they witnessed firsthand now completely shattered it.

"No… this isn't real…" Kingo's face was pale, his previous flippancy gone.

It turned out he wasn't some superstar; he was just a feeder.

Sersi knelt powerlessly on the ground, tears streaming down her face uncontrollably.

The humans she had protected for seven thousand years, everything she deeply loved, it turned out they were destined to be sacrifices from the very beginning.

The cruel truth almost made her collapse.

Even Water, who had never been particularly fond of humans, now clenched her fists, a monstrous rage erupting from her small body.

To be deceived, to be treated as a tool, this feeling was even more unbearable than being killed!

Ikaris's body swayed, he stared at the destroyed Planet on the screen, unable to utter a single word of refutation.

It turned out that his loyalty and mission were nothing but a joke from beginning to end.

"Now, you see," Leon's voice calmly rang out.

"This is your mission, this is the reward for your loyalty."

He waved his hand, and the energy screen instantly dissipated.

"I'll ask again." His gaze swept over the dispirited group.

"Do you choose to continue being tools to be cleared, or to become the sword in my hand, to create your own future?"

This time, no one refuted.

The cruelty of reality had already shattered their pride and illusions.

Ajak took a deep breath, and she slowly walked up to Leon.

Then, to everyone's shocked gaze, she knelt on one knee.

"The Eternal are willing to serve you, my Master."

Everyone was greatly surprised! They couldn't believe it!

Their leader had knelt.

Ikaris watched this scene, his eyes complex.

He opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but it ultimately turned into a sigh, and he slowly lowered his proud head.

The tide had turned.

Sersi wiped away her tears, and although there was still sadness in her eyes, there was more determination.

If this was the only way to save humanity, then she was willing to pay any price.

She also followed Ajak, kneeling on one knee.

Seeing this, Kingo didn't hesitate at all, and with a plop, he also knelt down, his movements crisp and decisive.

Just kidding, a wise man submits to circumstances!

The old boss is about to go bankrupt, why not quickly cling to the new boss's leg?

From now on, I'll be the boss's personal propaganda minister!

One, two… the members of the Eternal successively knelt down.

They had no choice.

Leon looked at the scene before him, the smile on his lips deepening.

Very good, the soldiers were in position.

He didn't make them get up, but rather enjoyed this submission.

The Sun's brilliance should naturally inspire awe in all things.

"Very good." He spoke, very satisfied with them.

"From today onwards, you will embrace new life. Forget your past, forget Arishem the Judge. The only thing you need to remember is my name."

"Leon Odinson."

His gaze fell on Ikaris.

"Ikaris," Leon said indifferently.

Ikaris's body stiffened, he looked up, watching him with complex eyes.

"Your loyalty is very valuable." Leon's tone didn't reveal whether it was praise or sarcasm.

"But it was used in the wrong place. But it doesn't matter, I will give you a goal worthy of your allegiance."

He paused, his smile becoming playful.

"Your first mission is to find the rest of your companions. Druig, Makkari, Phastos… not one less. Tell them that Earth has a new administrator. Those willing to submit can live. Those unwilling…"

Leon didn't finish his sentence, but the unspoken killing intent sent shivers down everyone's spines.

"As for you," Leon's gaze turned to Ajak.

"Your communication ability with the Celestials is very useful. From now on, without my permission, you are not allowed to contact Arishem the Judge again. I want him to believe that Earth is still under his control."

"Understood," Ajak replied respectfully.

After doing all this, Leon felt a bit bored.

The process of subduing them was smoother than he had imagined; after thousands of years, the Eternal were still more fragile than he had thought.

He shook his head, turned around, and prepared to leave with Banner.

"Alright, today's meeting ends here." He casually said to Banner.

"Dr., it seems your new colleagues still need some time to adapt."

Bruce Banner gave an awkward smile and nodded.

Just as Leon was about to leave, Kingo suddenly mustered up the courage to call out to him.

"Um, esteemed Sun god!"

Leon stopped, turning back to look at him with interest.

Kingo swallowed, forcing a fawning smile onto his face.

"I have a small suggestion… You see, your heroic attitude just now, and Mr. Hulk's mighty performance, were simply epic scenes! If they could be made into a movie, they would definitely sweep the global box office! I can tailor a biographical film for you, allowing people all over the World to admire your divine power!"

Leon looked at him and suddenly laughed.

This fellow was quite interesting.

"Alright," he said indifferently.

"Once the script is written, bring it to me for review."

With that said, he no longer lingered, taking Bruce Banner and transforming into a golden ray of light, disappearing from the spot
