SF Chapter 176: Poor
That night, two girls had sneaked into a different room of the hotel.
Prudence lay naked on top of Dani, while Lexi and Mischa lounged on either side of them.
"Wow, I missed this," Prudence said as she stretched, completely unashamed.
She smirked, focusing her gaze on Mischa. "I had to live off the memories of our great times together while I was suffering alone in Switzerland."
"You really can say anything..." Mischa scoffed, blushing a little at the blunt implication of how she 'used' the memories.
Lexi kept quiet while Dani chuckled, running his hand down Prudence's body.
"Mischa, Lexi," Prudence called a little more seriously this time.
They looked at her.
"My dad will also be at the game tomorrow..." Prudence revealed.
This time, she was looking straight at Lexi. "He'll probably want to meet Dani."
"Are you asking my permission?" Lexi asked, sounding slightly odd. "I have no problem. At most, I just feel a little sorry for you..."
"Heyy!!" Dani exclaimed.
"I'm discreet with my private life even around my family," Lexi added. "No need to complicate things now."
"Yeah, like I'd ever tell my parents about the mess I'm in..." Mischa nodded.
"But I can introduce you two as friends, right?" Prudence pouted.
Lexi rolled her eyes, but two hands appeared on her cheeks as Prudence pulled her in for a kiss.
"You're so cute, Lexi," Prudence praised. "I like you too, Mischa, but Lexi is over the top."
There were soon more activities in the room.

The next day, in one of the stadium's VIP boxes, Paul Allen was talking with Warren Buffett when his daughter approached.
They began talking, but things got heated when he blurted out that he wasn't okay with his daughter's relationship.
"He's a playboy, Prudence," Paul scoffed. Buffett stood awkwardly beside them, unsure how to escape a conversation that was clearly becoming personal.
Prudence folded her arms. "So what are you gonna do? Cut your only heir out of the will? Just do it if you want!"
Paul raised an eyebrow. "Excuse me, young lady?"
"You heard me," she shrugged. "Go ahead and do it."
Dani walked up with a smile. "Hi, Mr. Allen, nice to meet-" He stopped when he saw their expressions.
"I don't like you, Daniel," Paul blurted out.
"Hey!" Dani exclaimed. "Why not? What's not to like? I'm very likable!"
"You're a playboy. You go around fooling and flirting with other girls while you clearly have a relationship with my daughter," Paul said accusingly.
Daniel raised a finger and said, "That's a very fair point from a father's perspective!"
He paused.
"But I don't like that you don't like me - you're Prudence's dad! So I need you to change your 'mindset'!"
Dani even threw Warren Buffett under the bus. "Mr. Buffett also had an unconventional relationship. Why can't I have one too? Just because he looks like your neighborhood nice old man?"
Prudence tried hard not to laugh. Warren grew even more awkward, while Paul was momentarily left speechless by the boy's sheer nerve.
"I might really cut you out of my will, Prudence," Paul threatened.
Daniel's eyes widened.
"Do it!" Prudence challenged.
"Wait, wait, wait," Dani said, making a calming gesture with his arms. "We can negotiate better terms!"
"Dani!"
"But Prudence, what about the super-yacht The Prudence?" he whined. "Summer's coming up - it'll be the perfect time to use it!"
"Dani!" she said again.
"Fine! If it's necessary to get you, fine!" He placed a hand on her waist.
"Don't worry, babe. I can't afford your ridiculous airplane or your super-yacht," he sighed. "But I've got about three hundred million dollars. If we're frugal, I think we can survive."
Prudence nodded solemnly. "We'll have to make sacrifices."
"Definitely," Dani said. "Maybe just have a couple of mansions. You'll have to settle for small planes and boats, though."
She added, "And no NBA or NFL team..."
He pulled her into a hug. "God, Prudence. I just hate being poor. Can't your father just accept me?"
Paul's eyes twitched as he watched the two idiot lovebirds turn the conversation into a comedic sketch. Warren, meanwhile, looked very amused.
"Ha," Daniel exclaimed. "Now you can be a Lakers fan like me, Prudence. At least now you'll have a chance to see your NBA team win a championship!"
"Pfft—HAHA!" Prudence burst out laughing, letting out a few genuine giggles as she buried her head against Dani's chest to try to muffle them.
Even Buffett couldn't hold back a laugh, while Paul was looking murderous at Dani.
-------‐-----------‐-----------‐-----------‐-----------‐---------
Dani and Prudence approached Mischa and Lexi.
"How was it?" Mischa raised an eyebrow.
"I think that went reasonably well," Dani replied.
Mischa pulled a very doubtful face. "Really?"
"Maybe he meant reasonably well on Dani's scale," Lexi remarked flatly. "That means somewhere between 'almost good' and 'not getting murdered.'"
Dani kissed the top of her head and asked Prudence more seriously, "Aren't you worried about losing your inheritance?"
"Not really. You already have more than enough, and I hope to earn some money of my own as well," Prudence replied.
"Besides, if you ever abandon me, I can always play the poor, misled daughter and get back in his good graces."
"Great plan!" He chuckled.
A little later, Amanda and Lindsay also walked into the room.
"So?" Mandy asked, since she also knew where their friend had gone.
"Not bad," he replied.
She raised an eyebrow, doubtful.
Dani defended himself. "Oh, well, not everyone loved me at first sight..."
The girls nodded in agreement.
"Why are you nodding, Lindsay?" he asked, making a face. "You were one of the people I counted as liking me at first sight."
She just waggled her hand in a so-so gesture, making the others laugh.
Prudence then recounted everything that had happened, omitting only the part about 'being poor' and how they would have to 'live frugally' - that line was only funny in front of billionaires.
The four girls stared at him in disbelief; even Lexi had expected Dani to be a little more restrained.
"What about Buffett, anyway?" Mischa asked, not knowing the backstory.
"He was still married but had a relationship with another woman - totally consensual - his own wife helped with the arrangement," Dani explained.
"Aren't they two of the richest guys in the world?" Lindsay inquired.
"Yep. According to the Forbes list, Buffett is #2 and Prudence's dad is #5 richest in the world."
Amanda blatantly looked Dani up and down. "Are you sure he's worth the risk of losing an inheritance like that?" she joked.
Prudence smirked. "He is. If you join us, we can prove it!"
Amanda opened and closed her mouth a few times before replying sarcastically, "I think, for the first time, Dani was unfairly treated - at least on the playboy accusation."
"Not that he's not. But your dad can't really complain about it..."
"Dad is a bit old-school; I didn't tell him I play for both teams..." Prudence admitted.
"And she's got a winning record with both," Dani added proudly.
She grinned. "Damn right!"
"Unlike the Blazers."
"Dani!" Prudence burst out laughing, slapping his arm.
But he soon exclaimed, "Oh my God!"
"What now?"
"I'm back to being only a Browns fan," Dani spoke with an anguished expression. "The suffering continues! Curse you, NFL! I hate American football!"
Lexi deadpanned, "Good thing we're only at the Super Bowl..."
