The journey to the imperial capital was a long one.
The reason for that was largely because they had to travel through multiple territories in order to reach the empire. And so it took almost a whole month.
In reality, they could've reached their destination in far less time had they traveled through the seas. But that had not been an option for the two of them. Being nobles, there was a need to put on some performances, even though they might not have been necessary at all.
And traveling in a carriage bearing their noble family's crest was one such performance.
As the carriage rumbled along the road, Adrian sat calmly with his eyes closed, training his mana manipulation by circulating the mana within his body.
But his focus was broken when Evangeline suddenly nudged him.
"Hey, Ad."
He slowly opened his eyes.
"What is it?"
Instead of replying, she pointed right above her head. Moments later, a crown made of water materialized above her head.
